For Destiny 2 players, it's been a busy week. Last weekend, the fan favorite raid Vault of Glass made its return from the original Destiny. While the experience was largely the same as longtime players remember it, Bungie made a few tweaks and changes to help keep things feeling fresh. In addition, the raid also brought back some loot as well, namely the Fatebringer hand cannon as well as the exotic fusion rifle, Vex Mythoclast.

Exotic items have also been a hot topic for the Destiny community as of late due to a recent hot fix which nerfed the Star-Eater Scales and Boots of the Assembler, two popular items introduced this season. While the community has been up in arms over the nerfs, players discovered that the Star-Eater Scales may have received an accidental buff as well, increasing super damage to 90% over what players expected. Unfortunately, Bungie confirmed this was unintentional and would again be patched out, but confirmed the upside damage would still be left higher than the item's original values.

Speaking of exotics, the weekend merchant Xur has once again brought his exotic wares to the world for players to check out over the next few days. Follow this guide for his most current weekend location, news on his exotic cypher quest, as well as a review of what he's currently selling for the weekend of May 28, 2021 inside of Destiny 2.

Where is Xur?

This weekend, players can track Xur back inside of the European Dead Zone in his usual spot overlooking the Winding Cove.

Fast travel to the Winding Cove zone and immediately head towards the back where the Fallen typically patrol. Climb the cliffs back here to find Xur standing on a ledge not too far from a crashed ship.

Class Armor and Exotic Cypher

While Xur's role is essentially the same as it was prior to the Beyond Light expansion, the exotic merchant also has weekly quests that players can acquire to unlock an exotic cypher. Not only are these required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the new kiosk. Players can earn a new cypher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clanmates or finishing more challenging activities.

Other than that, here are Xur's three gear pieces this weekend:

Apotheosis Veil - Warlock helm

The Apotheosis Veil is a solid support exotic that isn't dependent on subclass. It comes with the exotic perk Insatiable, which immediately regenerates the player's health, melee, grenade, and rift energy when activating their super. Nearby allies also recharge class abilities faster as well.

It's likely not great in all situations, but it could come in handy when playing difficult activities or even in competitive PvP modes. It may not replace the standard go to exotics, but could be worth a look for some players. This week the Warlock's exotic actually has the lowest stat roll, even landing below the typical 60 minimum. This is the first week in a while where this roll may not even be better than what players could currently have, so double check before spending the shards.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

  • Mobility +14
  • Resilience +13
  • Recovery +3
  • Discipline +9
  • Intellect +13
  • Strength +7

Lucky Raspberry - Hunter chest armor

A classic exotic item from the base version of Destiny 2, the Lucky Raspberry remains a somewhat underwhelming exotic. This item specifically targets arc-bolt users, so they can be safely ignored for everyone else.  Through the Probability Matrix perk, Arc Bolt grenades have increased chaining capabilities and also have a chance to recharge each time it deals damage. A full chain always recharges.

Naturally, this exotic offers zero value for players not using arc bolt grenades. Ultimately, there are better options available so this is another item players can pass on even with its decent roll this week.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

  • Mobility +10
  • Resilience +15
  • Recovery +8
  • Discipline +14
  • Intellect +7
  • Strength +8

ACD/0 Feedback Fence - Titan gauntlets

Nearly six months have passed since its last time on sale with Xur, but interested Titan players can now pick up the ACD/0 Feedback Fence. The intrinsic perk called Fury Conductors build energy when getting melee kills. Being hit by a melee attack not only reduces incoming damage and unleashes the currently stored energy in an explosion.

It may not be the best available Titan exotic, it is remains a solid choice especially for those players who enjoy PvP content. Getting punched and causing small explosions is a powerful, fun, and destructive ability to have. Shockingly, the stat roll for this week is abnormally high, coming in at a whopping 68 point total. As such, this should be an item that all Titan players check out.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

  • Mobility +10
  • Resilience +4
  • Recovery +22
  • Discipline +14
  • Intellect +16
  • Strength +2

Exotic Weapon

The minigun looking Sweet Business features the perk Payday which gives the gun a larger magazine and increased accuracy when firing from the hip. Its secondary perk, Business Time, boosts the range and rate of fire while the trigger is held. In addition, ammo pickups are automatically loaded into the gun.

For now, this remains a gun that's solid but not spectacular. There are better exotic weapons out there, but under certain situations, Sweet Business can hold its own. Titans can improve it even further when using Actium War Rigs. Still, this gun isn't advised for PvP activities where hand cannons continue to rule the day, though Sweet Business can be a solid choice when clearing PvE enemies or dealing quick damage to bosses.

Additional perks:

  • Polygonal Rifling
  • Armor Piercing Rounds
  • Composite Stock
