Bungie just announced today during the Xbox Games Showcase event that Destiny 2 would be coming to Xbox Game Pass, along with every single one of Destiny 2's expansions.

This comes as fairly big news, as even the more recent expansions Forsaken and Shadowkeep will be included, and the upcoming Destiny 2: Beyond Light expansions will be made available on the program day one when they release this November. Additionally, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will even be able to play Destiny 2 on mobile devices through Project xCloud game streaming.

Take note that Xbox Game Pass is apparently getting the standard editions of these expansions, so any of the content included in the Season Passes will not be included, and will still be sold separately. However, seasonal content from previous years will still come with their corresponding expansion. So, the Season of Arrivals pass won't be included with Shadowkeep, and will need to be purchased by Xbox Game Pass holders for $10. This will be the same case for the three season passes in 2021 that will precede Beyond Light.

Even with the limitations taken into account however, this is will still make Destiny 2 affordable and accessible to more players than ever before. Almost all of the game's content will now become available to any Xbox Game Pass subscribers, saving them plenty of cash. The game will join the Xbox Game Pass service next month, sometime in September, and all additional expansions will become available day-one of its respective launch.

Speaking of Game Pass news, Microsoft announced during their showcase today that every game shown off during their event will become available on Xbox Game Pass, including the upcoming Halo Infinite, making the service feel even more worthwhile than ever before.

In other news related to the title, a brand new trailer for Destiny 2: Beyond Light just got shown off during Xbox's live event, and it was even announced that it would have additional Xbox Series X graphical enhancements. The expansion is set to arrive on all major platforms on November 10.

Destiny 2 is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC,  Google Stadia, and comes to Xbox Game Pass in September. It is also coming to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
