After a player has configured the Lure for Destiny 2's Hunt for the Wrathborn quest, they will be instructed to place it at a cryptolith. This can be done by simply navigating to the relevant quest marker in the Tangled Shore, and placing the Lure at this location will trigger a battle with the Fallen Wrathborn. Destiny 2 fans will not defeat the Wrathborn during this fight, though, and they will instead be asked to track the weakened foe to its lair.

For those players that may be confused about exactly how to complete the Wrathborn tracked step of Destiny 2's Cryptolith Lure quest, the process is fairly straightforward. More specifically, fans should follow the green trail that leads from the cryptolith where they previously placed the Lure until they reach its point of termination. There fans will find an activity start point, and indeed getting close to it will count as having tracked the Wrathborn for the purposes of this new Destiny 2 quest.

At this stage, fans should interact with the activity start point to be teleported to lair of Savek, Betrayer for Xivu Arath and continue the Wrathborn hunt in Destiny 2. Now players must simply follow the onscreen marker to reach another cryptolith, and they should place the Lure once again when they arrive. Doing this will trigger yet another battle, and it will eventually culminate with a player defeating the Wrathborn and earning some loot.

Players will now be told to return to Crow, and conversing with this NPC will mark the end of the Hunt for the Wrathborn quest in Destiny 2. For finishing this quests, fans will receive an assortment of Mutation Mods, which can be inserted into the Cryptolith Lure and affect the gear that is awarded upon completion of subsequent Wrathborn hunts. Before players can participate in more of these hunts, though, they will need recharge the Lure by completing additional Strikes, Gambit matches, or Crucible matches.

To note, gear is not the only thing that players will earn from participating in Wrathborn hunts, as the activity also awards Recon Data that can be used to increase Reputation Rank. This is important because higher Reputation Ranks give fans access to additional Lure upgrades, which will speed up Recon Data acquisition, unlock new Wrathborn hunts, and more. Furthermore, these upgrades give players the ability to purchase new Mutation Mods from Crow in Destiny 2, which will give them even more control over the loot they receive in their hunts.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
