Destiny 2 has lots of intricate combat missions that players can sink their teeth into and master. One fan has shared a trick they've used in The Whisper that could result in a more efficient completion.

The Whisper is a mission that includes numerous parkour sections which some Destiny 2 players aren't the greatest fan of. Moreover, the parkour bits can screw up many runs or simply cause frustration as this is a timed mission.

Io, along with 3 other destinations, is going away this fall with the launch of Beyond Light. This includes all the activities tied to said destinations, such as The Whisper. So, it is in players' best interest to complete any unfinished challenges on the locations that are going on hiatus.

The trick shown by Reddit user XiiDraco can be useful for those who want to get The Whisper and all its challenges done quickly before it becomes unavailable, or for those who want to try completing it solo. The technique shown allows Titan players to skip the first third of the mission, which is mainly parkour.

All players need to do is equip the Lion Rampant Titan exotic leg armor, switch to Catapult Light, and wield a sword. The exotic armor allows Titans to have more control in air and a longer lift time. The sword is for gaining forward momentum.

Flying with swords on Titan is all about patience and timing. Essentially, players need to allow themselves to freefall for a bit before swinging, then jump after a very short delay. Maintaining those freefall times is key as jumping too often will exhaust the lift ability and freefalling too long will negate the push that the sword swipe provides.

Others have reported that Warlocks can do this as well if they are using the Icarus Dash ability from the top tree Dawnblade subclass. Warlocks are notorious for gaining speed with a combination of their movement abilities and sword so this is not surprising.

One interesting thing to note is that skipping this expansive of an area while completely in air is a bit unusual as mission spaces are either rooms strung together by corridors or have invisible walls. So, flying through an open space like this can be awe-inspiring, if anything.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
