Destiny 2: Xur Exotic Armor, Weapon, and Location for Oct 27-29

It's the first Xur appearance for Destiny 2 players on PC. Find out what exotic armor pieces and weapon the vendor has for sale and where he is located this week.

While Destiny 2 players on console have become well acquainted with Xur and his weekly selection of exotic items, for PC players this week marks their first encounter for the Agent of the Nine. It’s a chance to acquire new exotics and for many it is a chance to raise their power level.

This week, Xur is hiding on Io. Players will want to head to the new Destiny 2 destination and travel to Giant’s Scar. There they will find Xur tucked into a cave off to the left side of the map (when traveling in from the South). As always, if you are having trouble finding Xur, simply mark him on the map and an icon will direct you.

Exotic Armor and Recommendations

Xur’s exotic armor selection this weekend includes the Knucklehead Radar helmet for Hunters, the Actium War Rig chest piece for Titans, and the Eye of Another World helmet for Warlocks.

Knucklehead Radar is a returning exotic from Destiny 1 and is a decent choice for PvP players. With the helmet equipped, Hunters retain access to their radar while aiming down sights, which can be very useful in Crucible modes (namely Countdown and Survival) where situational awareness is key.

The Titan exotic is arguably the best armor piece of the bunch thanks to its ability to slowly reload auto rifles. In Destiny 1, such a perk may have been laughable, but in Destiny 2 auto rifles are actually good. We should also point out that combining the Actium War Rig with the Sweet Business auto rifle Xur sold last week leads to a torrent of bullets.

And finally the Eye of Another World Warlock helmet is not the best exotic for the class, but not the worst either. With it equipped, players charge their abilities faster, which is useful, but not essential.

Xur's Exotic Weapon

Xur’s exotic weapon this week is the D.A.R.C.I. sniper rifle. Thought it may look cool, the exotic sniper rifle is hardly a top tier choice for the power weapon slot, let alone weapons in general. What it does do is show enemy health info while scoped and do additional damage on precision hits, but that is not a major advantage. Snipers have been criminally underpowered in Destiny 2 thus far, but hopefully Bungie will change that.
