Week 4 of Destiny 2: Forsaken continues the evolution of The Dreaming City. Designed as the endgame space for players, a Taken curse fell upon the destination once the Last Wish raid was finally beaten after nearly 19 hours.

Subtle changes appeared at first, with Taken Blight appearing on many of the structures and buildings around Destiny 2's Dreaming City, though players will find that this week, things have gotten worse. With Petra now moving to a new zone in Rheasilvia, players will see what appears to be a Taken blight all around them in the air. For now, the effect is purely visual and doesn't appear to have any negative impact on gameplay.

Many players are also hoping to see some sort of movement on the Malfeasance questline, one of two missing exotic weapons that have yet to be found anywhere in the game. (Spoilers: the quest appears to be live!) Lore surrounding the Thorn-like weapon mentions The Drifter's former partner Callum and his untimely death, which resulted in his ashes being essentially painted onto a rock after being struck with a Golden Gun. Surprisingly, players finally discovered Callum's Grave within the Ascendant Plane, though nothing triggered once it was found.

With the Iron Banner fires doused and Lord Saladin returning to Felwinter Peak for the time being, things have slowed down a bit this week in the world of Destiny 2: Forsaken. The new week also brings with it plenty of new daily and weekly challenges to overcome. Nightfall Strike Details

Nightfall Strike Options: The Corrupted, The Inverted Spire, Strange Terrain

The three Nightfall choices this week include the newest strike to the game, The Corrupted, which was introduced once Clan Redeem finished the Last Wish raid. Also included in the selection for September 25 is the longest tenured strike, The Inverted Spire, as well as the Warmind exclusive, Strange Terrain.

Each option starts at a recommended power level of 540, so players may want to grind for new gear a bit before taking on these missions. Keep in mind that players can only select a Nightfall from expansions they already own so for those without Forsaken or Warmind, The Inverted SPire is the only choice this week.

Nightfall Challenges:

  • Equipment Locked: Once the mission starts, players can no longer switch their currently equipped gear.
  • Extinguish: Once a fireteam dies in a restricted zone, they're returned to orbit.

Make sure to hover over each Nightfall strike to view the unique strike modifiers for each as well.

Nightfall Exclusive Rewards:

  • The Corrupted - Horror's Least pulse rifle
  • The Inverted Spire - Trichromatica Ghost Shell
  • Strange Terrain - BrayTech Osprey Rocket Launcher

Flashpoint Location

Flashpoint Location: Io

After spending last week in the Forsaken locked Tangle Shore destination, the Flashpoint has once again returned to Jupiter's moon of Io. To progress this weekly challenge, players will need to take part in Public Events, finish Heroic adventures, and clear out Lost Sectors. Don't forget to consult our heroic modifier guide for public events to help finish this a bit faster.

Once 100% is reached, visit Asher Mir near The Rupture fast travel point to claim his powerful reward for the week.

Leviathan Raid Encounter Order/Weekly Challenge

While most people may have moved on to the Last Wish, the original Leviathan Raid encounter order continues to change based on the new week to help keep things fresh. It's more than likely that after a certain amount of time, the Last Wish encounter order could also update each week once enough people have attempted it first.

Raid order for Sept 25:

  • Royal Pools (Bath)
  • Pleasure Gardens
  • Gauntlet
  • Calus

Tower Objectives and Bounties

It's a new week which means most of the vendors at the Tower have new weekly bounties to pick up. Make sure to stop by Tess Everis who again offers her usual set of daily Eververse Bounties as well as a special weekly in exchange for glimmer that awards a Prismatic Facet instead of bright dust. As this is the fourth week since Forsaken launched, keep in mind that only 3 Prismatic Facets can be held at a time, so don't finish this bounty until at least 1 is used first. Otherwise, a new one won't be awarded if all 3 are still in the inventory.

Don't forget that Suraya Hawthorne also has clan oriented bounties players can pick up to earn part of the 5,000 XP needed. While these bounties update regularly, players now need to complete them in order to earn the Clan XP powerful reward for the week.

Players can also earn a powerful item from Ikora Rey, the Warlock Vanguard, for completing 20 bounties. Considering the nearly limitless bounty supply the game gives players through a variety of vendors, this shouldn't take much time at all.

Shaxx, The Drifter, and Zavala all offer their usual bounties for their associated game modes as well.

For players at The Dreaming City, Petra Venj is offering powerful rewards for those who complete her normal weekly bounties and Dark Fragments for her dailies.

Crucible Milestone and Weekly Playlist

Complete Crucible Matches - Finish 5 total Crucible matches. Any of the playlists count towards this milestone except a private match.

Along with the weekly challenge that resets on Saturday as well, daily objectives pop up from time to time, typically requiring that players only complete one Crucible match.

Weekly Crucible Playlist - Breakthrough

As revealed by Bungie earlier this year, Breakthrough is a brand new Crucible mode intended to live under the competitive playlist after this week. Two teams fight to control a zone, which then deploys a breaker that hacks the enemy vault. The first team to hack the vault wins.

Vanguard Strike Milestone

Vanguard Strikes - Complete 3 strikes in the playlist.

Elemental Modifier: Void Singe

As players learned at the Forsaken expansion launch, the playlist difficulty can be changed from the recommended 300 level default to level 40 and level 50, with higher levels offering better rewards.

And that's all for this week. Good luck, Guardians!

Destiny 2: Forsaken is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
