The past few days have been an exciting one for Destiny 2: Forsaken players, as Bungie launched the newest raid called Last Wish, which not only proved to be massively challenging, but once it was defeated after 19 hours by Clan Redeem, it essentially changed the landscape for everyone. After unlocking a new cutscene, a curse descended on The Dreaming City that players are still discovering to this day.

So far, players have discovered a new campaign mission for Petra as well as a brand new strike called the Corrupted and the Cathedral of Stars map for Gambit players. From an aesthetics standpoint, Taken blight has started to form over many of the Awoken buildings in this destination, and a new high level Blind Well tier has also unlocked. Curiously enough, players have also started to discover small hidden metal plates around the game world featuring symbols seen within the first phase of the Last Wish raid.

Clearly, Bungie has big plans in the future for The Dreaming City, so players should stay tuned. For now, though, the weekly reset has finally arrived and brings with it all sorts of new challenges, strikes, and more. For the complete list of new content for the week of September 18, check out our complete Destiny 2 reset guide below.

Nightfall Strike Details

Nightfall Strike Options: The Insight Terminus; Savathuns Song; Exodus Crash

Introduced inside of the Sandbox update is the new Nightfall strike format which gives players three choices for the week. For September 18, players can pick from The Insight Terminus, the often used Savathuns Song, and Exodus Crash, a strike which was removed from rotation due to player complaints and is making its long overdue return into the rotation.

Each option starts at a recommended power level of 540, so players may want to grind for new gear a bit before taking on these missions. Keep in mind that players can only select a Nightfall from expansions they already own. Make sure to hover over each one to view strike modifiers for each as well.

Nightfall Challenges:

  • Equipment Locked: Once the mission starts, players can no longer switch their currently equipped gear.
  • Extinguish: Once a fireteam dies in a restricted zone, they're returned to orbit.

Flashpoint Location

Flashpoint Location: Tangled Shore

For the first time since Forsaken launched, the Flashpoint milestone has moved into the Tangled Shore with in the Reef. While non-Forsaken owners are locked out of their powerful rewards for this week, everyone else can continue to progress through this milestone by completing Public Events, clearing Lost Sectors, and finishing Heroic Adventures. Don't forget to consult our heroic modifier guide for public events to help finish this a bit faster.

Once at 100% completion, players should visit The Spider at Thieves' Landing to claim their powerful reward for the week.

Leviathan Raid Encounter Order/Weekly Challenge

While most people may have moved on to the Last Wish, the original Leviathan Raid encounter order continues to change based on the new week to help keep things fresh. It's more than likely that after a certain amount of time, the Last Wish encounter order could also update each week once enough people have attempted it first.

Raid order for Sept 18:

  • Royal Pools (Bath)
  • Pleasure Gardens
  • Gauntlet
  • Calus

Tower Objectives and Bounties

It's a new week which means most of the vendors at the Tower have new weekly bounties to pick up. Make sure to stop by Tess Everis who again offers her usual set of daily Eververse Bounties as well as a special weekly in exchange for glimmer that awards a Prismatic Facet instead of bright dust.

Don't forget that Suraya Hawthorne also has clan oriented bounties players can pick up to earn XP. While these bounties update regularly, players now need to complete them in order to earn the Clan XP powerful reward for the week.

Players can also earn a powerful item from Ikora Rey, the Warlock Vanguard, for completing 20 bounties. Considering the nearly limitless bounty supply the game gives players through a variety of vendors, this shouldn't take much time at all.

Shaxx, The Drifter, and Zavala all offer their usual bounties for their associated game modes as well.

For players at The Dreaming City, Petra Venj is offering powerful rewards for those who complete three weekly bounties from her.

Crucible Milestone and Weekly Playlist

Complete Crucible Matches - Finish 5 total Crucible matches. Any of the playlists count towards this milestone except a private match.

Along with the weekly challenge that resets on Saturday as well, daily objectives pop up from time to time, typically requiring that players only complete one Crucible match.

Weekly Crucible Playlist - Iron Banner Control

Lord Saladin is also making his first return to the Tower in Season 4, so visit him to claim his bounties and view his new stock of gear and weapons.

Vanguard Strike Milestone

Vanguard Strikes - Complete 3 strikes in the playlist.

Elemental Modifier: Solar Singe

As players learned at the Forsaken expansion launch, the playlist difficulty can be changed from the recommended 300 level default to level 40 and level 50, with higher levels offering better rewards.

And that's all for this week. Good luck, Guardians!
