After taking a few weeks off, Lord Saladin has once again returned to The Tower, which means it's time for the Iron Banner once again. Just like the latest Faction Rally from two weeks ago, this edition of Iron Banner is also sporting new loot for players to earn. Saladin himself is offering three guns directly including a grenade launcher, assault rifile, and pulse rifle as well. For this round of the Iron Banner in Destiny 2, players are battling in the Clash game mode and can continue to work on the season 2 Iron Banner challenge if they weren't able to finish it the first time around.

Speasking of player versus player, Bungie is also planning some pretty major changes to the Crucible in the upcoming 1.1.4 update. The biggest change is switching Iron Banner back to traditional 6v6 as well as classic settings like all neutral flags in Control, 12 minute matches, a score limit of 125, and much more. In addition to those Iron Banner changes, the Crucuble is also getting back Rumble, a free for all mode, and is set to re-introduce weekly rotating modes like Mayhem and a revamped Doubles. Bungie is hoping to introduce this update sometime later this month.

While Saladin may be hogging the spotlight this week, the Destiny 2 reset also refreshes the other weekly content offerings as well. Check out our guide below to discover everything waiting for players including the latest Nightfall strike, an updated Leviathan Raid order, a new Flashpoint location, and much more for the week of March 6, 2018.

Weekly Nightfall Strike

Nightfall Strike: The Pyramidion

Strike Modifiers:

  • None listed for this week.

Player challenges:

  • To earn Unbroken, the fireteam needs to complete the Nightfall with fewer than three deaths.
  • Siege Engine can be completed if players prevent Brakion from being shielded for more than 40 seconds before defeating it.

After spending last week on Mercury, the Nightfall strike has once again returned to the base Destiny 2 experience, which means its once again open to all players. This week in the NIghtfall, players are venturing back into the Vex Pyramidion.

While platforming is a bigger focus on this mission, players begin the task by activating and holding various plates while battling waves of enemies. The quickest method would be to split the group in order to activate both plates to open the main door, while grenade spamming enemies considering the nearly non-existent cooldown. Beyond the combat sections, players will also encounter plenty of connecting hallways outfitted with laser beams that’ll are able to one shot most players unlucky enough to touch them. It goes without saying that players should avoid these beams at all costs.

After dealing with Vex plates and insta-death laster beams, players arrive at a large room with the large Vex creature known as Brakion. Consisting of multiple phases, Brakion opens the battle by simply shooting at players in one location. When its health lowers to a specific point, it’ll retreat behind a shield, in which players will have to quickly disable by standing on a Vex plate.

Flashpoint Location and Treasure Maps

Flashpoint Location: Nessus

Players should be heading to Nessus this week as the weekly Flashpoint milestone is located there. For those who may not be aware, Public Events pop up all over the various zones and by participating in them, the percentage completed meter increases. Once 100% is hit, it is ready to be turned in to Cayde-6. To shorten the quest time, make sure to trigger the heroic modifier on each strike for added credit.

Destiny Cayde Holliday

Of course, Cayde's treasures have also been reset this week and a new set of five can also be found on Nessus. Visit Cayde to purchase the maps which reveal the locations of chests that contain a variety of possible loot from simple rare gear, tokens, and quest items that can be turned in, to more interesting things like exotic engrams and emblems.

Here's a general description for all five chests:

  • The first can be found not far from the initial spawn point near The Cistern. After loading in, head straight ahead and then take a quick right after passing under the waterfall. Follow the pathway a short distance where the chest is sitting on a low ledge on the left side.
  • Next, fast travel to Watcher's Grave, where the second chest can be found. After spawning in, follow the road towards the other side of the zone where the massive tree sits and houses Xur when he arrives on Friday. The chest is hanging out on a massive limb of the tree.
  • The next three chests are all found in or around The Tangle, which is unfortunate due to the fact that it doesn't have a direct fast travel point. So, either continue from Watcher's Grave, or fast travel from Artifact's Edge.
    • The first chest in this zone is found through a cave situated in the lowest point of the map not too far from an Adventure called Release. Head into the cave entrance, follow the path until it splits. Head to the right side and the chest can be found right near the path as you cross into The Mists.
    • The next chest is in the Southwest corner so either head back up to the surface or fast travel and work your way back. A large triangle cave entrance is etched into a rock face, so head inside and follow the path and down into a hole. After dropping down, immediately turn around to find the chest under some roots.
    • The final chest is in the path between The Cistern and The Tangle near a statue of what appears to be a Fallen Servitor. The chest is actually sitting in an electrified pool so make sure to watch your step, Guardians!

Leviathan Raid Encounter Order/Weekly Challenge

The weekly reset also impacts the raid each and every week as the Leviathan Raid encounter order has been shuffled. While this not only helps to keep the experience fresh for veteran players, it also helps players new to the experience get used to the Raid while also giving them an opportunity to play each part even if struggling.

This week, the challenge is on Emperor Calus. Make sure to consult our guide for tips, tricks, and a walkthrough of how to complete the raid challenge for this week.

Raid order for February 20:

  • Pleasure Gardens (War Dogs)
  • Gauntlet
  • Baths (Royal Pools)
  • Emperor Calus

Heroic Strike Milestone

Heroic Strikes - Complete 3 heroic strikes.

For players looking for more of a challenge when playing strikes, the Heroic Strikes playlist is the way to go in Destiny 2. Players above the minimum recommended power level of 270 have an opportunity to score better loot at the end of the mission. Complete three of these this week to earn a powerful loot engram.

Lord Shaxx Crucible Milestone

Call to Arms - Win glory by participating, getting kills, and finishing PvP matches from either the Quickplay or Competitive playlists. Finish the milestone and return to Shaxx to earn his weekly engram.

And that's all for this week. Good luck, Guardians!

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
