Last week, players were encouraged to go fast thanks to a large sandbox update to the base Destiny 2 experience. Not only did it buff the mobility statistic for players, it also provided much-needed updates to certain subclasses like Arcstrider and Dawnblade. Iron Banner is also heading back to the traditional 6v6 format and new quitter penalties have been implemented in the hopes that matches remain competitive throughout the entire match.

Another major focus of this update was to improve weapons. Most weapon archetypes received some sort of adjustment and even improving the Time-To-Kill ratio almost across the board. The biggest beneficiary of these changes were precision hand cannons and adaptive pulse rifles. The exotic pulse rifle Vigilance Wing received a significant boost, now featuring a quick .83 second optimal time to kill, which is down from its previous mark of 1.20 seconds.

While players wait for Lord Saladin to appear one last time in Season 2, the weekly reset for Destiny 2 has once again rolled around. As always, the reset brings with it new content to play through over the next seven days such as a new Raid order, a brand new Nightfall strike, a new Flashpoint location, and much more. Here are all of the details for the week of April 3, 2018.

Weekly Nightfall Strike

Nightfall Strike: The Inverted Spire

Nightfall Challenges:

  • To earn Unbroken, the fireteam needs to complete the Nightfall with fewer than three deaths.
  • The Floor is Lava tasks the fireteam to avoid Protheon’s fiery ground attack during the boss fight.

Nightfall Reward: According to users, the Trichromatica Exotic Ghost Shell is the Nightfall reward for this week.

The Inverted Spire is back as the featured Nightfall for the week of April 3, a strike most Guardians should be intimately familiar with thanks to it also being the featured beta strike as well. This cabal heavy strike is fairly straightforward as it features plenty of combat situations in addition to a unique area that forced players to avoid massive spinning drills while battling enemy forces.

At the end of the strike is the Vex Modular Mind, Protheon. Its claim to fame is being able to dissolve the floor, forcing the fire team to fight through multiple levels after certain points in its health have been shot away. Phase two also features a new element, essentially turning the floor into a damage field for a short time, so players should keep an eye out for that, jump to a pillar to avoid the fire attacks.

The final phase surrounds the space with a damaging electric field, which reduces the usable combat area for players as Protheon and waves of Vex pour in. For those feeling aggressive, equip a Riskrunner submachine gun and stand in the damaging arc pool, which not only hurts but supercharges the weapon for added damage. With just a sliver of health left, Protheon’s head will pop off giving it enhanced speed and a new weak spot on its stomach. Finish it off to end the mission.

Flashpoint Location and Treasure Maps

Flashpoint Location: Titan

The flashpoint is once again back on Titan, meaning it's open to all Destiny 2 players once more. As usual, find a public event and participate in it to earn percentage points to completing this weekly milestone. Don't forget to trigger the heroic modifier to earn a little bit more once the event finishes.

After taking a week off, Cayde is back to his old tricks with five treasure chests to locate on Titan. Players will need to first visit the exo at The Tower and purchase his set of five maps before the little icons appear on the minimap. Rewards range from common junk to more unique rewards like exotic engrams and emblems.

Here's a guide to all five:

  • Siren's Watch
    • The first chest can be found back through the starting section of the world known as The Sinking Docks. Without a spawn point, players should fast travel to Siren’s Watch and work their way back, past the area where the walker tank public event spawns and through a door in a nearby yellow building. Follow the path until a familiar blue glow can be found under the catwalk. Jump down to find the treasure.
  • The Rig x 2
    • Start heading towards The Solarium. Head down into the tunnel to cross into the Solarium zone and the chest is sitting right on the ground as you come out of the room.
    • Chest three is easy to find as it's pretty much right on the opposite end of the bridge. Instead of taking the left towards The Solarium, head straight and look under the pile of metal to find the chest.
  • The Solarium
    • Continue moving into the Solarium zone. When players reach the room with the colored wall, fight off the Hive lurking in the initial room and find the second chest in the far back right corner.
  • The Festering Halls
    • The last chest for this week is on the opposite end of the Solarium, so head through the cracked color glass and this time go to the door on the far right side of the room. Head through to the Festering Halls and continue through this area by following the path, past the enemies and through the open doors. This last chest is found in a wide open room full of Hive enemies towards the left side.

Leviathan Raid Encounter Order/Weekly Challenge

As it does each and every week, the Leviathan Raid encounter order has been shuffled alongside the weekly reset. While this not only helps to keep the experience fresh for veteran players, it also helps players new to the experience get used to the Raid while also giving them an opportunity to play each part even if struggling.

Emperor Calus is set as the raid challenge for this week. For players that need a refresh or some tips and tricks, make sure to consult our guide for a complete walkthrough.
