A Destiny 2 player has discovered that a Void Titan equipped with the Antaeus Wards Exotic can one-shot Guardians in Crucible matches. The Antaeus Wards Exotic leg armor boosts the defensive capabilities of Void Titans in Destiny 2, and precise timing from a player may turn this Exotic into one of the best pieces of armor in the game.

The Void subclass received a substantial rework with the launch of Destiny 2: The Witch Queen in February 2022. This particular revamp introduced an aspect and fragment system to the Void subclass, allowing Destiny 2 players to customize their Guardians' Void kits with several abilities and skills. Additionally, Arc and Solar subclasses would also receive reworks during Year 5 of Destiny 2 as Bungie prepared for the eventual launch of the Lightfall expansion. Although the new Strand subclass is very powerful, the Void subclass is still a favorite among many Titan mains in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 player UnknownShardV1 recently discovered that the Antaeus Wards Exotic leg armor may seemingly overall damage output for Void Titan's shield throw, allowing the ability to one-shot Guardians in Crucible. If timed correctly with Antaeus Wards' enhanced slide ability, the Titan's shield throw will one-shot a Guardian with high resilience. The shield throw's lethality may be due to additional shield bounces after the enhanced slide. The Void shield makes contact with the enemy Guardian three times after being thrown according to UnknownShardV1, and these additional hits may be due to the Antaeus Wards' frontal shield perk. This discovery may make Antaeus Wards one of the current best Titan Exotics in Destiny 2 for PvP content.

The Antaeus Wards Exotic allows Void Titans to reflect damage and projectiles for 0.45 seconds with a 180° degree frontal shield after sprinting and sliding. While equipped, the Titan's slide receives a passive slide distance buff by 33%, allowing the player to slide further than normal. Although precise timing is required, the Antaeus Wards frontal shield may deflect grenades and rockets back toward their enemies in Destiny 2.

This new trick involving Antaeus Wards may be useful in several Crucible modes since the Titan may survive a quick one-on-one encounter with ease. Additionally, Void Titans have greater survivability due to the overshield ability, which is activated after a kill with the shield throw. Destiny 2 players may need practice to ensure the shield throw is able to deal enough damage for a one-shot kill, however. Other Void Titans and Guardians with high resilience may survive the shield throw if they are aided by a Warlock rift or an overshield.

Antaeus Wards may be useful in new PvE content coming in Destiny 2's Season of the Deep. The Titan's enhanced slide ability and shield throw will help players clear out waves of enemies in upcoming seasonal activities.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
