On Neomuna, the Vex and the Cabal are at constant war, and it’s up to the Guardians to bring some peace to the digital city on Neptune. Destiny 2 brings one of the more difficult and reward-yielding events to Neomuna the Vex Strike Force Event, which will see a multitude of Guardians unite in Destiny 2 to battle a great challenge for a great reward.

Considering that the Neomuna Vex Strike Force Event is no easy task, players will want to know the best way to progress through them, and what the event is. It’s something that can only be found on Neomuna, and a Public Event that will test the player.

What Is Vex Strike Force?

The Vex Strike Force is known as “Supernumerary Blitz”. The Public Event will see players defeat 6 Minotaurs Supernumeros to close the VexNet portals and end the blitz. Players will have 10 minutes to complete this Public Event, and they will need every second of it, as this is not an easy task to accomplish.

The Minotaur Supernumeros enemies are strong, and many players will be needed to successfully take these enemies down. They have a lot of shields, and health, and deal a great amount of damage, especially when they are followed by a seemingly infinite supply of spawning vex goblins. The Public Event is split into zones, and players will be faced against one Minotaur Supernumeros, then for the next area, two Minotaur Supernumeros, and the final area will see a total of three Minotaur Supernumeros. Upon their defeat, rewards will be obtained.

What Rewards Can Be Obtained?

Destiny 2 Players Want Exotic Weapon Changes

The selling point of the Vex Strike Force event is the fact that upon completion, players will receive a guaranteed Exotic drop. There are no events in Destiny 2 that can promise the player an exotic reward, so the Vex Strike Force public event is a great one to start with, as it will be far easier and less RNG based than doing a Nightfall or a Lost Sector.

The promise of an Exotic is always alluring, especially when there are so many Exotics to obtain, and not everyone can be obtained within an engram or from random loot drops. As well as an Exotic drop, players can also obtain Legendary gear and a bundle of XP for leveling up Nimbus’ reputation on Neomuna.

How Rare Is The Event?

Players should not be deterred if they have been waiting around for a Vex Strike Force to no avail. Many players have reported a long waiting period for this public event, with some estimating that it takes around three to four hours for the Vex Incursion Zone to come back into play. There are no official numbers, but Destiny 2 players are great with their estimates.

It’s a shame that the public event is so rare when other public events across different destinations are around thirty minutes, yet this large-scale public event is reduced to a rarity of 3 to 4 hours, for rewards that do not make it worth sitting in line for 4 hours.

Where To Find Vex Strike Force

As an exclusive event on Neomuna, players will have to travel to this hidden city on Neptune if they want to begin the rare event. The Vex Strike Force can only appear in the Vex Incursion Zone, which changes once a week upon the weekly reset every Tuesday. The locations of the Vex Incursion Zone can be Ahimsa Park, Zephyr Concourse, and Liming Harbor.

Once the player is at the Vex Incursion Zone, they will have to patiently wait for the usual public event symbol to pop in on the map, which will have the title “Vex Strike Force Incoming!” Players cannot find this public event anywhere else in Destiny 2, or any other location other than the Vex Incursion Zone.

How To Beat Vex Strike Force

Players will find that the Minotaur Supernumeros will have an immune shield, and there is only one way to take this shield out. Players will need to find a void shield Minotaur, and upon defeating it, they will receive a Vex Cranium, which is a mini laser canon that will allow the player to shoot the Minotaur Supernumeros and take out their shield. This weapon does a great amount of damage, and the best tactic is to farm for the Vex Cranium to have plenty of them.

Players will want to maximize their DPS, as the shields for the Minotaur Supernumeros will come back rather quickly. Not only will players need the Vex Cranium, but they will need their super, which will generate far quicker than normal during this public event. The ultimate tactic is to use the Vex Cranium and use heavy ammo and supers as soon as they come in.

There is one more thing that players want to be aware of when it comes to the Vex Strike Force, and that’s the demand for Fireteams. Public Events are open to any Guardian that heeds the call, and it would be very wise to go into the Vex Strike Force with more than just a solo player. 10 minutes may be a generous amount of time, but the more Guardians the better, as the abundance of supers and DPS will add to the ease of the public event, and guarantee an exotic reward in no time.
