This year's Solstice of Heroes event has begun in Destiny 2, and the main objective of the event is to complete the armor sets for each class. Each armor set involves a similar but lengthy grind of activities, tasks, challenges, and orb generation. But there are some ways to speed up that grind and maximize the time spent playing through this newest Destiny 2 event.

To start, visit Eva Levante in the Tower to start the event and get the helmet from the Drained armor set. After completing one run of the new European Aerial Zone activity specific to this event, Eva Levante will hand over the rest of the armor set. The armor must be worn to make progress on the objective of each specific armor piece and the entire set must be worn to generate elemental orbs, so it is best to equip the full set and leave it on.

In general, players will want to focus on activities that need to be completed for the Solstice of Heroes more so than specific tasks like getting precision kills or generating elemental orbs. These more general gameplay objectives will gain progress while playing through any part of the game, so players will see those naturally complete while focusing on the specific activities that the armor pieces call for.

In addition, daily and weekly bounties should always be picked up because the second Renewed set requires bounty completions. This includes Solstice of Heroes, Vanguard, Crucible, Gambit, and planetary bounties. Players are required to play all of those game modes at some point throughout the upgrading process, so they will want to pick them up and naturally complete them in their corresponding activity.

Each class's armor set has different, but similar, objectives. Between Warlock, Hunter, and Titan sets, players are tasked with completing the same activities but on different destinations or by generating different kinds of orbs or by using different subclasses. A specific list to multi-task and make quick progress through the objectives has been put together by a player known as "Cheese Forever." Playing through the game in this order will speed up the process of upgrading the Solstice of Heroes armor sets. Upgrading a set to Legendary will guarantee that the armor will be updated to a new Armor 2.0 set once the Shadowkeep expansion launches.
