The annual Destiny 2 Halloween event, Festival of the Lost is in its final week, tasking players with finishing up any content before the mode gets put back on the shelf for another year. In addition to collecting masks and obtaining the unique Braytech Werewolf auto rifle, players have been clearing the Haunted Forest and unlocking all of the new triumphs associated with the event.

However, one Festival of the Lost triumph has proven to be nearly impossible to solve thanks to its vague description mentioning seeing a spider in the player's sights. Many associated it with the new Pit of Heresy dungeon, while others claimed it could be found somewhere on the Moon. As it turns out, none of those theories were correct as the triumph was time gated until the last week of the event.

Here's how to unlock the Spider Vision Triumph for Destiny 2 and the Festival of the Lost 2019 event.

Visit the Tower

The first step to completing this triumph is to visit Eva Levante at the Tower. In her usual spot beneath the tree, Eva now features a brand new consumable players can by called the Festival Charm. For only 100 candy, players can take this item to increase the number of Chocolate Strange Coins awarded at the end of activities and inside of the Haunted Forest. However, to unlock the triumph, players will need to consume it inside of the Haunted Forest.

Head to the Forest

Matchmake into the Haunted Forest and immediately take the Festival Charm. While nothing else will seem different, near the start of the run, look down the weapon's scope and a spider's shadow will decend down the screen of the player, unlocking the triumph finally.

Alternative Solutions

While players will no doubt be thrilled to finally unlock this triumph, there remains some debate on where and how the spider appears. Some claim that they did not use the Festival Charm at all, leading some to believe it may be team based. Theories seem to hint that if one person of the fireteam uses it, the spider effect is granted to everyone. Other redditors have also mentioned that the spider's shadow appeared outside of the Haunted Forest, most notably inside the Vex Offensive activity.

Whatever the case may be, the triumph now appears to be active, giving players numerous opportunities to score the last remaining triumph. All in all, players have seven days left to finish up any outstanding content before the Festival of the Lost event ends in full next Tuesday.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
