Destiny 2 is just now reaching its mid-season and has dropped new content for players to enjoy. On top of that, Bungie is celebrating its 30th anniversary, bringing fun new weapons into the game like the iconic laser sword from the Halo series.

Another powerful weapon that is coming to the game is the Gjallarhorn Rocket Launcher weapon. This weapon, and its Exotic Catalyst, are available after purchasing the Bungie 30th anniversary pack and unlocking the Gjallarhorn weapon in the Grasp of Avarice dungeon.

However, there is a tricky process to unlock this particular catalyst. After completing the dungeon, fans will need to go back inside and fight the Reaver Vandals and open some chests. So for Destiny 2 fans looking to boost their powerful rocket launcher quickly, here is how to get the Exotic Catalyst.

First Exotic Catalyst Chest

The first chest is right around where gamers cross the crystal bridge. The Reaver Vandal should drop down from the top right, and it is vital to only damage the Reaver until players get the "Burden by Riches" debuff.

Once that's acquired, fans will only have about 30 seconds to go back to the start of the bridge and open the chest at the top of the metal grating. Of course, nothing will come out of the chest, but don't be alarmed, this is all part of the quest.

Second Exotic Catalyst Chest

The second chest can be found after a long red-lit stairway with the falling boulder trap. Keep going through the hallway until fans find a second Reaver Vandal by some boxes.

After players get the debuff, jump up those boxes to the opening in the air duct on the ceiling. Keep turning right until gamers are in a new spacious room. Jump forward onto the platform, and then jump to the platform on the right-hand side to open the second chest.

Third Exotic Catalyst Chest

The third chest can be opened after fans finish the Fallen Shield encounter. Using the cannon, aim it towards the dome-shaped buildings with purple coverings next to the mini waterfall. The third Reaver Vandal will be near the dome building towards the back cave wall.

Once players get the debuff, use whatever mobile Destiny 2 ability to get over back towards the canon quickly. The chest will be on top of the roof of the dome-shaped building towards the center of the dungeon.

If gamers did everything correctly, this chest should grant the Destiny 2 Exotic Catalyst for the Gjallarhorn rocket launcher.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
