Today, Bungie kicked off the highly anticipated return of the Trials of Osiris in Destiny 2. The Trials are a 3v3 mode in Destiny 2 pitting Guardian against Guardian. It's also Destiny 2's most competitive multiplayer mode, with teams attempting to win as many times as possible before losing 3 times. The greatest reward, however, is earning an impressive 9 victories with zero losses. This feat unlocks access to the mysterious Lighthouse location – and it's already been attained.

Twitch streamer GrenaderJake and his crew are claiming "World's First" to get a 9-win streak in the new Trials of Osiris. Odds are they aren't the world's first outside of the Twitch community, but they did accomplish it very fast. And while it was a challenge for them to get there afterward, they also made the trip to the Lighthouse.

Within the Lighthouse there's a huge area to explore, but no really meaningful points of interest outside of the chest itself. Luckily, that's what players really care about. For the first time players visit the Lighthouse, they're going to earn Pinnacle Trials Armor, some materials, and some exclusive emblems. GrenaderJake earned a Resurrection's Guide Sparrow, Grips of the Exile Gauntlet, Light of Lost and Flawless Empyrian Emblems, and an Ascendant Shard material.

Unfortunately, GrenaderJake and crew make a silly decision. They decide to go back to orbit right after opening the chest and then revisiting the area. They didn't realize that players only get to visit the Lighthouse once after getting a 9-win streak in Trials. Once they returned to orbit, they found that the Lighthouse was once again locked and that they wouldn't be able to explore like they wanted to.

Many fans are frustrated that the Lighthouse apparently won't be offering Adept Weapons. Adept Weapons historically adding elemental damage to a Legendary weapon, making them that much better than typical loot. As such, attaining the Lighthouse comes with some great cosmetics but no meaningful power boost. This minimizes the reward of reaching the Lighthouse in the first place, but given how few people do reach it, Bungie likely opted not to create an imbalance due to its loot.

Destiny 2 players can now attain their own 9-0 victory in Trials of Osiris and see the Lighthouse for themselves. The Lighthouse loot may not be epic, but it's still solid, and more importantly, rare.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
