Destiny 2 is easily one of the most highly-anticipated games of 2017, so it came as no surprise that the crowd cheered in delight when Sony shared a trailer for the sci-fi shooter during the its E3 press conference. The trailer, which can be seen below, gives gamers a glimpse at the game’s primary antagonist, Dominus Ghaul.

The Destiny 2 trailer shows a very Bane-esque Ghaul whose deep, throaty growl of a voice and intimidating armor make him immediately recognizable as a Destiny 2 enemy. It’s a dreary opening scene that carries forward the storyline of Ghaul invading Earth and destroying everything the Guardians hold dear.

In addition to giving gamers a better idea of the power and stature of Ghaul, the trailer also shows off some compelling gameplay of Destiny 2’s new weapons and abilities. And, of course, since it’s a Sony press conference, the trailer ends with a few details about upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusives for Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 players on PlayStation 4 will gain access to an exclusive strike, dubbed Lake of Shadows, along with exclusive gear, a ship, PvP map, and sniper style exotic weapon. The inclusion of exclusives isn’t surprising considering the same thing happened with Destiny, and the relationship between Sony and Bungie is continuing into the sequel.

With Destiny 2 set to arrive in just a few short months, gamers can look forward to additional details coming out of this year’s E3 conference.

Destiny 2 is set to release September 6, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A PC version will launch sometime later.
