In Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Season of the Chosen, Bungie introduced the Cuirass of the Falling Star exotic chest armor. Guardians quickly became familiar with the damage capabilities of this new exotic item, some stating that it even rivals the popular exotic hunter helmet, Celestial Nighthawk.

The Cuirass of the Falling Star has already displayed its power by easily clearing a lost sector in a matter of seconds, and even one-phasing a raid boss. Guardians have continued finding ways to further increase the maximum damage output of the Cuirass of the Falling Star by stacking various buffs and debuffs in Destiny 2: Beyond Light.

YouTuber and Destiny 2 Guardian, Scrub, utilized Last Wish raid boss Riven as a punching bag to test the direct hit damage numbers of the Thundercrash super with Cuirass of the Falling Star. Scrub notes a base damage of 126K damage from a Thundercrash Titan with Cuirass of the Falling Star. This base number can be increased significantly with the use of buffs and debuffs.

The Season of the Chosen artifact contains the Volatile Conduction Mod as well as the Focusing Lens Mod that can be used as buffs to increase the Cuirass of the Falling Star Thundercrash damage. Volatile Conduction gives bonus Arc Super damage if the Guardian casts their super while critically wounded. Volatile Conduction increases the direct hit damage of Thundercrash with Cuirass of the Falling Star to 163K. Focusing Lens allows Light-based abilities to do bonus damage to combatants affected by Stasis, further increasing the damage to 204K.

Destiny 2 not only has ways to directly buff damage output but also ways to debuff enemies to further increase total damage potential. Using the Tractor Cannon exotic weapon to debuff Riven, the Thundercrash damage with Cuirass of the Falling Star and all the above buffs, increases the direct hit damage to 266K.

The Thundercrash Titan super paired with the Cuirass of the Falling Star Exotic is already a powerhouse against most things in Destiny 2. Utilizing the Season of the Chosen artifact mods to buff damage output combined with a debuff option like Tractor Cannon, showcases the power of these seasonal mods as well as the Cuirass of the Falling Star.

This impressive build for the Cuirass of the Falling Star will expire at the end of Season of the Chosen, unless the Volatile Conduction and Focusing Lens Mods make a return in future seasons. Guardians wanting to experience the incredible power of this build should do so during Season of the Chosen, or risk missing out on the temporary mods that make this build so powerful.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
