Destiny 2 is one of the largest games around at the moment, and rightfully so. Bungie's looter shooter has an incredible number of game files and tons of possible interactions between different elements when it comes to gameplay, which often leads to new bugs and glitches arising and being discovered by the players. Some of these issues are very minor, to the point that some are left in Destiny 2 by Bungie because fixing a problem requires time and resources, and unless it's threatening to a certain extent it's better to invest those into something else.

Other glitches can be quite bad for the game in various ways, or even break Destiny 2 in some way that requires an immediate fix - or at least a bandaid solution that helps Bungie deal with the bug later. A prime example of this is what generally causes items to be disabled for a short span of time, as disabling them is a short-term solution to the problem they are causing, which gives Bungie room to breathe. And yet, some issues are harder than others to contain or to permanently fix, such as most of those created by Telesto.

Telesto is arguably Destiny 2's most infamous gun, and after being reenabled into the game with the latest hotfix, it still managed to break the game again. Telesto has caused another game-breaking issue that consists of its bolts not disappearing from the ground after exploding when enemies trigger them. This glitch then makes the bolts explode time and time again whenever more enemies step onto them, effectively making Telesto bolts unable to expire when triggered, but only after their lifespan of 5 seconds ends.

This only seems to happen whenever the bolts one-shot the enemies stepping onto them, as reported by a Chinese player with a video demonstrating the glitch. The main problem seems to be tied to the new changes that Bungie made to Telesto, as the projectiles are now immune to projectiles, grenades, and explosions.

As described by Joe Blackburn during an interview with Teawrex, Destiny 2's Raids and campaigns are so successful because they are mysteries for players to solve. This ties with the reason why Bungie ships some glitches as well, and that's because new content is not publicly tested by players on dedicated servers, but it's unclear how much this could affect Telesto's many issues.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
