One of the best parts of Destiny 2 is the vast armory of weapons. Combining different blades and guns with a class' powers to find the best combinations is a lengthy, but worthwhile endeavor. With several weapons already defining Destiny 2's 10th season, it's well known what to skip and what to grab by now.

One group that has changed significantly over time is Destiny 2's collection of swords. Taking different roles in combat over the game's lifetime, there have been several changes to them. This has left players scrambling to figure out how to use blades in new roles more than once. Of course, this being Destiny 2, not all the blade uses are what the developers intended, especially when bugs get involved.

One player, who goes by the handle Leaf, discovered a new glitch with the swords. Originally using the glitch with Destiny 2's Falling Guillotine, Leaf later discovered it extends to other swords. The glitch works as follows: when going through a load zone, wield a sword with no ammo. The game supercharges the player and gives the sword full ammo, but the player won't see it. This means when they swing the sword, it only shows the animation for having zero ammo, even with a heavy attack. This allows players to swing fast for huge damage until they run out of invisible ammo.

Needless to say, the blades that can perform this glitch automatically rank among Destiny 2's strongest swords for now. It is apparently possible to pull off the glitch during raids as well, but the method is complicated and doesn't provide good dividends. The above video hints that there is also a way to pull off the glitch for multiplayer, but again, the benefits aren't worth it.

While this bug is particularly powerful, and lets the strongest swords melt enemies fast, it may not be reliable. Bungie has been cracking down quick on bugs and exploits that make the game too easy. Not long ago Bungie killed AFK Forge Farming, and with video evidence on display, the company knows what to look for. The era of the Invisible Heavy Attack will most likely be a short one.

With that in mind, players are encouraged to get out there and use this one before its gone. As mentioned before, this glitch can be used for most swords and it is very entertaining. Now is the time to swing swords and take names before everyone switches to the Ruinous Effigy. After all, when an exotic is crazy enough to spawn melee weapons, why carry one with you?

Destiny 2 is available for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
