Not too long ago, Destiny 2 fans finally got their hands on the science fiction shooter's Warmind expansion, with the new DLC having included the latest raid lair known as Spire of Stars. While many Guardians are still doing their best to climb this latest mountain Bungie has added to the game, Clan Redeem managed to achieve a World's First in scaling it. Of course, this meant that there were even more difficult milestones ahead to achieve, with several members of the aforementioned Fireteam having now beaten the raid lair's boss in a team without using guns.

As seen in the video below courtesy of the YouTuber and Guardian known as Gigz, Destiny 2 fans can get an idea of what it looks like when Val Ca’uor is taken down by a group of players determined to forego the use of firearms and ensure the villain's defeat. The raid team consisting of Gigz, Gladd, Indica, Eon, Trem, and Carolina all band together against the Cabal baddie with a solid combination of six Hammer Titans, a plethora of grenades, and a strategy of punching practically everything in sight to beat him.

In order to achieve this feat, this talented group of Destiny 2 players certainly needed to have their power levels quite high, as the beginning of the video has Gigz showing off their Guardian going into the fight at 381. Surely there are some fans out there who are still struggling to simply raise their power level as efficiently as possible in order to take on Spire of Stars. With this likely being the case for many, those folks in particular would do well to check out our guide on how to get past power level 345.

All things considered, Gigz and the rest of the squad's no gun run on Val Ca’uor in Destiny 2's Spire of Stars raid lair is certainly impressive, but there's always a variety of other self-imposed limitations that the Guardians can put on themselves to take on the villain. After all, a shotgun-only playthrough would be pretty admirable, too. Surely, though, this isn't the last we have seen of Val Ca'uor getting his comeuppance from players looking to challenge themselves in new ways.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
