Destiny 2's forthcoming Solstice of Heroes event may be looking to end Year 2 with a bang, as the Shadowkeep expansion will officially begin Year 3 shortly after. It comes with a ton of new content for Guardians to explore, as the new Drained, Renewed, and Majestic armor will be the first set of armor capable of utilizing Shadowkeep's Armor 2.0 system. More than that, though, the Eververse items for the event includes one of the best sparrows players have seen yet.

As far as sparrows go, this is the arguably the goofiest Destiny 2 vehicle (as seen below) Bungie has ever made. Typically, sparrows follow a very specific design philosophy and try to play within that framework, but this one throws a lot of those ideas out of the window.

Unfortunately, we don't know anything about this stubby sparrow except that it will be available from Eververse. Unfortunately, Bungie has done away with Event Engrams for Solstice of Heroes, but every item will be available for purchase with Silver or Bright Dust. So if players have Bright Dust left after spending a ton on the Tribute Hall to get the Bad Juju Catalyst, they should be able to pick this sparrow "tricycle" without spending any extra money.

In addition to the Eververse sparrow, the Solstice of Heroes also introduces a new sparrow that players can earn just by participating in the eventTo unlock this EV-37 Voidstreak Sparrow, Destiny 2 players will need to unlock the legendary version for each armor set across all three classes. This means that players will need to complete each and every Solstice of Heroes armor upgrade quest, which includes Gambit, Crucible, and EAZ clears as well as unlocking Solstice packages, introduced with the event all the way to the legendary version of the Titan, Hunter, and Warlock armor.

Considering the length of each quest, this will certainly not be an easy task, but the reward is new armor that will easily utilize the 2.0 system and this new Sparrow. Furthermore, this Destiny 2 event will be adding a ton more content for players to enjoy when they need to bust up the monotony of grinding for the gear. One of these is the new aforementioned European Aerial Zone (EAZ), a new PvE activity set across a series of floating islands and works in a manner similar to the Menagerie.

During the EAZ, a three-man fireteam will need to take on several mini-bosses in a set amount of time. A final boss appears when the timer runs out and will reward the player with the new Solstice packages that award material, rare and legendary gear, and Enhancement Cores. And once Destiny 2 players earn the Legendary Solstice armor, the EAZ Solstice packages will reward players with additional armors and enhanced perks, adding another layer to the new Solstice of Heroes grind.

Destiny 2 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
