Solstice of Heroes returns to Destiny 2 on August 11. Since the seasonal event once again revolves around completing the European Aerial Zone activity, players who want to maximize their gains should come in prepared.

The European Aerial Zone was featured in last year's event too. If the EAZ's mechanics, spawn points, and modifiers have stayed the same, players can reliably look back on Destiny 2's last Solstice to prepare themselves for this iteration of the event.

To recap, once the matchmade activity begins, the game will start spawning mini-bosses around the map. Players can either spread out or move as a team as they hunt down these targets. The more mini-bosses players kill, the more chests they will be able to open at the end.

Once the combat phase ends, a clock will start ticking down and players will be urged to find chests all over the map. This is perhaps the part where players new to Destiny 2 can struggle the most at.

Assuming the chests will spawn in the same spots, Reddit user Red_Head_Hippo has shared their map guide for fans to study. This shows a route that players can take to efficiently find chests, which is especially helpful for solo payers.

There is no guarantee on which of these locations the chests will spawn at. However, the quest tracker will state the number of them that have spawned and will update as teammates open them so players can get an idea of their progress and where to go next.

The map on the left should give an idea of where to expect certain chests and the verticality of the map. By starting from the blue circle indicated on the map to the right, players can simply follow the path shown by the arrows to check every chest location in the zone. The route does not physically intersect with every chest spawn, but, thankfully, the chests flare up on the HUD if close enough to the player, so, even those a little outside the path should be visible.

The reason for starting in the middle is that the first three chests (labeled on the Suggested Route map) always spawn regardless. The author also suggests staying as high as possible when doing chest runs as this allows scouting far off chests. Players can also sparrow in the European Aerial Zone but it isn't necessary by any means.

The EAZ is decently big and there are lots of indoors space, so, the map may be daunting to some. It is, however, predictable so even newcomers should get the hang of it pretty quickly.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
