There are ten new Sparrows coming to Destiny 2 for players to chase as part of the game's Solstice of Heroes summer event, which is kicks off July 31. When Bungie officially announced the event, the developer showed off a few of these Sparrows, but fans on the game's subreddit grabbed the screenshots of these Sparrows from the game's API.

The Sparrows range from a number of designs—some that have been seen in Destiny 2 before, now sporting new paint jobs, while others are completely new from top to bottom. Reddit user "Zimrino" collected these shots of the new Solstice of Heroes Sparrows:

With the exception of the Comrades in Arms Sparrow (which is earned by completing a specific number of Destiny 2's Moments of Triumphs), the other nine Sparrows will be earned through the usual XP grind and resulting Eververse engrams. Once the Solstice of Heroes event begins, players will earn both a Bright Engram and a Solstice Engram when reaching a new level of XP. These Sparrows (alongside other event-specific rewards) will be found in those Solstice Engrams. Other rewards from Solstice Engrams include Ghost shells, ornaments for weapons (including Sturm, The Jade Rabbit, and SUROS Regime), emotes, and Armor Glows.

As mentioned, the Solstice of Heroes event begins on July 31 and runs until the release of Destiny 2's major expansion, Forsaken, which will officially kick of the game's second year. The beginning of the event will also mark players' final chance to earn all their Moments of Triumph for Year 1. There are currently some Moments of Triumphs achievements unlocked, but a handful remains hidden until the beginning of Solstice of Heroes.

Destiny 2: Forsaken releases on September 4, 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
