It has been a big week for Bungie and it's popular online shooter, Destiny 2. The company is celebrating its 30th Anniversary of making games, having had a hand in creating some iconic franchises like Myst, Marathon, and Halo. As part of the celebrations, Bungie released a huge update to its current game, Destiny 2, giving players a whole ton of free content as well as a premium DLC Anniversary pack which further celebrates the studio's legacy with armor and gear inspired by previous titles.

Since the update, players have been discovering all sorts of secrets and details that Bungie chose to hold back in order to surprise players. Part of that is the Halo-inspired weapons like the Forerunner sidearm or the BxR pulse rifle, as well as the free 6 player activity Dares of Eternity where the mysterious exotic merchant acts as a game show host. Naturally, players have tons of rewards to unlock though one new exotic ship has seemingly caught the attention of most players.

As players unlock ranks with Xur and earn Treasure keys, they can open the various chests located in the Treasure Hoard social space. While much of it holds armor and weapons to unlock, players who hit rank 16 and have at least 7 treasure keys can unlock a new exotic ship called the Unixursal Voyager. The strange looking ship appears to be a glowing comet or space rock, which has certainly confused those who are trying to figure out where the guardian actually sits or flies the thing.

However, the ship also has a unique new effect to help it stand out from other ships in the game. As captured by Destiny 2 subReddit user adhig123, the Unixursal Voyager has a special comet style effect when flying through hyperspace to a new destination. While zooming to its next destination, the ship gives off streaks of light, similar to how a comet has a visible tail when flying through the night sky.

While the new content has seemingly delighted Destiny 2 players, fans were given another treat from Bungie at this year's Game Awards. The latest trailer for The Witch Queen expansion focused on the fact that Savathun has somehow been granted the Light, the power that player Guardians have been weilding since the original Destiny launched back in 2014. While the trailer framed a story around a live action fireteam, new details were seemingly revealed including a possible return of Mars, at least for a mission or two in the upcoming campaign.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen releases February 22, 2022, for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
