With a little over week until the release of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, developer Bungie has begun the final push towards its final expansion. By now most of the important details like new gear and new activities have been covered, but there are still some marketing materials left to reveal. Specifically, Bungie has yet to release the launch trailer for Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, but that will change tomorrow.

In a teaser post from Bungie Social Media Manager Griffin Bennet he reveals that the Destiny 2: Shadowkeep launch trailer is scheduled to go live tomorrow, September 24th at 9am PT on the Destiny YouTube channel. This will likely be the last piece of hype material that Bungie will release before the launch of Shadowkeep on October 1st, and it is sure to be packed with tiny details.

Previous launch trailers (and even regular trailers) for Destiny content have given fans tiny flashes and new activities, new enemies, and new weapons/armor. At present, it seems like Destiny 2 players have a good idea as to what new weapons and armor are releasing with Shadowkeep, but there are likely some secrets left to reveal. Whether or not Bungie will actually tease anything new, however, is up for debate.

What fans do know is that Shadowkeep will be the second expansion for Destiny 2 and that it will be on par with Destiny 1’s Rise of Iron. The bulk of the DLC is set on the moon, which has undergone some transformations since the last time players have seen it. The Red Keep is one of the biggest icons that has appeared on the moon and it is presumed that some major activity is taking place there.

Shadowkeep also marks the start of something new for Bungie, as the developer sets the tone for Destiny without Activision watching over the project. The plan is to make Destiny 2 feel more like an evolving world through its Seasons, and to give players a lot more customization options for their Guardian.

Tomorrow is a big day for gaming with both an Inside Xbox and State of Play set for the day. Microsoft’s stream will focus on its Project xCloud game streaming service and will include a closer look at the upcoming Obsidian Entertainment RPG Outer Worlds. Sony’s State of Play event will include new content from The Last of Us Part 2 and a rumored Batman game from WB Games Montreal. Needless to say, it’s going to be a packed day for video game announcements.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep releases October 1, 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
