Destiny 2's highly anticipated Shadowkeep expansion is less than three weeks away from launch. Bungie has spent the past month informing Destiny 2 players about what they can expect, slowly getting more and more specific. Today Bungie is ready to go a step further, releasing its Shadowkeep & Season of the Undying Calendar. The Shadowkeep calendar is a de facto content roadmap for the Destiny 2's free and premium content plans between October and December.

The calendar starts with Destiny 2 Shadowkeep's launch, detailing all of the free content included in the expansion. This free content is available to all players, including Destiny 2 New Light free-to-play players. The content includes the new Moon destination and feature additions including the Seasonal Artifact, Finishers, and Armor 2.0. The free seasonal updates will also include Crucible competitive multiplayer updates, as well as the free reward track included in the Seasonal Rank battle pass system.

The second half of the calendar details content plans for the 3-month Season of the Undying. This includes both free and premium content, denoted with separate icons. Bungie plans a mix of both paid and premium content. Premium, included with Shadowkeep, includes the new raid Garden of Salvation, Nightmare Hunts, a new dungeon, and two Exotic Quests. There's also premium content tied to the Season itself, with the first season being bundled with Shadowkeep.

Free content during the Season of the Undying is sparser. All that's planned, according to the calendar, is an Iron Banner event mid-October, the and both the Festival of the Lost and a new Momentum Control PvP Mode at the end of October. Free players may also be able to get involved with Bungie's so-called "evolving world" plans, but that's uncertain until further details are provided.

While the Destiny 2 Shadowkeep content roadmap is something by which players can hold Bungie accountable with, Bungie also makes clear in today's This Week At Bungie that players should expect more. "Shadowkeep will change the way we play Destiny, and we're not even done yet." The post explains that Bungie has "more to say" before Shadowkeep's launch with regards to how Destiny 2 will continue to evolve.

Expect more information regarding Destiny 2's Shadowkeep expansion and Bungie's plans for the upcoming year in the upcoming weeks.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Shadowkeep releases October 1.
