Destiny 2 may not be the runaway success that the original managed to become, but the game still has an active core base of players and there are no plans to stop churning out content anytime soon. The second major DLC release is right around the corner and a few retailers may have just spoiled the title of the upcoming Destiny 2 content.

Both Amazon and Gamestop now have listings for an item called Destiny 2 - Expansion 2: The Fallen Warmind. In addition to the title (and $19.99 price that doesn't come as a surprise), the Amazon listing also suggests a May 8, 2018 release date for the expansion content. That definitely falls into the window when players were expecting the second expansion to arrive.

After the Amazon listing was spotted, a nearly identical item was also found in the Gamestop database. Here's a look at the listings that have arrived ahead of any official name reveal from Bungie...

Fans on Reddit are already speculating about whether or not the expansion pack will draw lapsed players back to the game. Most of the comments so far have joked about being excited for "the dozens of players who will return to the game for a week." Hopefully the expansion back will offer more motivation and hooks and actually get the community engaged again.

Fans may recall that the first Destiny took a little while to hit its stride and was actually the most entertaining and engaging after the first few expansion packs. Hopefully Destiny 2 can turn things around in a similar fashion, but so far the fans seem unconvinced.

At this point, Bungie hasn't responded to the rumored title or release date yet, but we'll keep an eye out for the official announcement and post an update when it arrives.

Destiny 2 and its Curse of Osiris expansion are available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
