Week seven of Season of the Splicer adds another seven seasonal challenges for Guardians to complete. Destiny 2 players will need to complete the penultimate Path of the Splicer quest, speedrun Expunge: Styx, and gather even more Ether.

This week in Season of the Splicer also sees bonus Infamy available for Gambit, so Destiny 2 players should jump into the mode to earn Infamy ranks for another challenge. Grandmaster Nightfall Strikes finally return, too, offering high-tier loot in some extremely tough Strikes.

Here are the seven seasonal challenges for week seven of Season of the Splicer in Destiny 2:

The Dark Network:

To complete this challenge, Destiny 2 players need to complete the Path of the Splicer 7 quest. As usual, players need to visit the Splicer Servitor in the HELM to receive a message from Mithrax and begin the quest.

Players also need to defeat Champions anywhere in the system, but bonus progress can be earned by defeating Champions in Override and Expunge missions. Otherwise, Champions are found in some PvE activities, commonly in Legendary Lost Sectors and Nightfall Strikes on Hero difficulty or higher.

Expedited Expunge: Styx:

This is another Expunge speedrun challenge that tasks players with completing Expunge: Styx in under nine minutes. This mission can be found on the Moon map and has a new corrupted variant available which offers a Corrupted Conflux Chest at the end.

Ethereal Splicer III:

For this challenge, Destiny 2 players need to simply gather more Ether. This can be done by playing pretty much any activity in Destiny 2.

Ether also has a low chance to drop from defeated enemies, although the chance can be increased substantially by investing in the Ether upgrades for the Splicer Gauntlet.

Machine Gun Splicer:

To complete this challenge, players need to defeat enemies in Override and Expunge missions with Machine Guns. Getting precision kills with Machine Guns will award players with bonus progress. The Exotic Machine Gun Xenophage is good for quickly clearing groups of enemies, but players should be aware that it cannot deal precision damage. Alternatively, the Corrective Measure Legendary Machine Gun from the Vault of Glass or Shattered Cipher from the Season Pass are also great choices.

Since heavy ammo can be somewhat scarce, Machine Gun Ammo Finder and Scavenger Armor Mods will be very useful for completing this challenge as quickly as possible. Players could also invest in the Halt and Open Fire Splicer Gauntlet upgrades to get more heavy ammo from ammo crates.

In It for Infamy:

For this challenge, players need to earn 16 Gambit Infamy ranks. This will require playing a lot of Gambit, and players must complete the daily bounties as often as possible to get even more Infamy points. Bonus Infamy is active this week, so it is a good time to play as much Gambit as possible to complete this challenge quickly. Players should keep an eye out for future bonus Infamy events, too, to avoid having to grind out Gambit ranks just before Season of the Splicer ends.

Cadre of Contenders:

To complete this challenge, players need to complete Crucible matches in the Competitive playlist. This means players will be jumping into the round-based Survival game mode. Solo players should make use of the Freelance playlist to have an easier time. Winning matches will also award bonus progress.

Conquest of the Mighty:

This challenge makes a return in Season of the Splicer along with Grandmaster difficulty Nightfall Strikes. Destiny 2 players need to complete any Nightfall Strike on Grandmaster difficulty to complete this challenge.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light and the new Season of the Splicer are available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
