Destiny 2’s Season of the Drifter has only just begun but it appears that developer Bungie has big plans for the game’s next season, Season of Opulence. According to at least one member of the Destiny 2 community, Bungie will once again hold a community summit where it will gather feedback regarding the state of the game. More specifically, it sounds as though Bungie is looking to give community members a chance to play the content included with the Season of Opulence in May.

Chief among those attending the Destiny 2 community summit is Gladd, a noted challenge runner and content creator. As a member of Clan Redeem, Gladd has nabbed several World’s First raid titles and completed numerous solo challenges.

Outside of Gladd, no other Destiny 2 community member has revealed that they are visiting Bungie for the summit. The hope is that Bungie will replicate the wide variety of opinions that were part of last year’s summit, which was focused on making changes for Year 2. While Gladd is a member of the hardcore PvE community, there should also be PvP-focused players in attendance as well.

What makes this second summit interesting is that it comes at a time where Destiny 2 is doing well. Players seem genuinely happy with the state of the game and the Annual Pass content, albeit after Bungie corrected a few missteps.

The previous Destiny community summit, however, took place at a time where Destiny 2 was losing favor among its community. Bungie wanted to bring in players from around the globe to give feedback on all aspects of the game (from lore to weapon systems to modes). And many agree that the summit was a success thanks to a revamp of loadouts and an increase in daily and weekly tasks.

If nothing else, Gladd can speak to the challenge of Destiny 2 and whether or not aspects will be easier or harder for the most die-hard players. By no means should his skill be used as a benchmark – he regularly pushes the limits of what is thought possible in the game – but he should be able to give important feedback. And with Season of Opulence said to include a new raid for Destiny 2, perhaps Gladd could even give some thoughts on that.

Destiny 2: Season of the Drifter is live for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
