Destiny 2 Season 13, called Season of the Chosen, is now officially unveiled and there's lots to dig into. As Season of the Hunt comes to a close, the Hive retreat and the Cabal step forward for peaceful, and not so peaceful, negotiations. Players will be engaging with the new royal Cabal forces under Caiatl's command for the next 3 months, so here is the content calendar for specific dates.

Bungie releases a content calendar before each Destiny 2 season as a mini preparation guide. This is not a roadmap showing what content Bungie is working on, but instead a schedule for when the season's major beats are happening. The studio purposefully doesn't note every change and event coming in a season as the community enjoys surprises.

To start off, every player will get access to the H.E.L.M. social space and the two returning Strikes (Devil's Lair and Fallen S.A.B.E.R.) on February 9. The same day, two Battlegrounds will open for Season Pass holders. This is the new matchmade activity for Season 13 where players fend off Cabal invasions across multiple worlds.

The same day, Beyond Light holders will be able to start a quest for a new Aspect, a powerful trinket that customizes the way Stasis subclasses play. A week later, a new Battleground will open, and another one the week after that. On March 23, the brand new Proving Grounds Strike will be available for Season Pass holders, but it will enter the Strike playlist for all players a week later. The Nightfall will also be on the Proving Grounds on March 30.

Crimson Days is never coming back, but Guardians Games will last from April 20 to May 9, with Bungie planning to do a "Closing Ceremony" during the last two days of the event. All the while, Trials of Osiris with brand new armor and weapons will be open every weekend for all players and Iron Banner will make a return every month, mid-month.

There's a secret Tex Mechanica exotic quest also releasing this spring but no details are known yet. The season will offer even more incentives to play such as multiple Nightfall exclusive weapons, multiple new weapons added to ritual (Strike, Crucible, Gambit) playlists, a revamped Umbral Engram system making a return for good, and other pursuits like Seasonal Challenges.

All in all, Season of the Chosen is looking to be quite comprehensive and seems to offer more content compared to recent seasons.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
