About a week ago, we surmised that it was almost assuredly guaranteed that Dead Orbit would dominate all three instances of the first Faction Rallies of Season 3 in Destiny 2 due to the rewards tied to the faction. Now, it looks like we were spot on with our prediction, as the video game developer Bungie has officially proclaimed Dead Orbit to be the winner of the first Faction Rallies for the science-fiction shooter's third season.

As seen in the tweet below, Destiny 2 fans can either join in celebration with the Guardian dressed in Dead Orbit garb and their attainment of the Graviton Lance at a reduced rate, or simply congratulate the winners for having pledged Future War Cult or New Monarchy. The Graviton Lance is easily one of the best PvP weapons out there right now, so it makes sense as to why Dead Orbit is in the spotlight yet again.

For those unaware, Dead Orbit is simply reclaiming the throne after New Monarchy took the prize in Destiny 2's previous Faction Rally, with the victory unlocking a sword called Honor’s Edge for all players to purchase, with New Monarchy devotees getting a huge discount. At this rate, there's no telling which faction will come out on top next, but if Dead Orbit offers a grenade launcher the next time around, they will likely lose due to many seeing it as the worst weapons in the game due to poor hit detection.

Faction Rally winners aside, Destiny 2 has plenty of exciting content on the horizon for Guardians to experience, as Bungie is working on the game's Forsaken DLC, which aims to seriously beef up the title with new playable materials. Of course, fans are going to have to exercise patience, as the next expansion won't be out until later this September.

Destiny 2's Forsaken DLC launches on September 4, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
