Destiny 2 fans finally get answers ahead of the Season 19 launch as Bungie reveals a new trailer for Season of the Seraph. Many fans have been a little disappointed with Bungie's seemingly lack of marketing to help hype up new seasons, only being given a hint at a trailer premier date set to launch hours before the new season. In the preceding weeks, fans have attempted to theorize where the Destiny 2 story was headed, including some hints at the Hive War God Xivu Arath's return.

While Destiny 2's narrative has continued to make big strides over the past couple of years, the series certainly has a number of threads that have yet to be tied off. Some, all the way back ahead of the launch of Beyond Light, have left some key characters out of the spotlight including Ana Bray and the Warmind AI known as Rasputin. Considering how linked Rasputin is to the hidden city of Neomuna on Neptune, many have correctly agreed that Season 19 would likely work to tie everything together ahead of Lightfall.

Thanks to the latest Destiny 2 trailer, fans now know that Season of the Seraph looks to answer the lingering questions around Rasputin. According to the Season of the Seraph trailer, Xivu Arath is once again on the move, looking to seize Rasputin's network of weaponized satellites. In seeking to stop such levels of destruction, the Vanguard has authorized a covert operation to arm Guardians with the Warmind's most advanced weaponry to stop the Hive War God.

The fast-paced trailer showcases Ana Bray working to restore Rasputin's extracted remnants after the fall of Mars during the Season of the Lost. As many correctly guessed, she's attempting to use an Exo body to house Rasputin. With the Hive set to be the main enemy force this season, the footage shows players attempting to infiltrate enemy lines by making it through a field of towers that can set their sights on players. Warmind Bunkers also appear to be making a comeback as players attempt to restore Rasputin with the help of the full Bray clan including Elsie and Clovis.

With the full season dropping in just a matter of hours, fans are going to be able to experience everything sooner than later. With the end of Season of Plunder seemingly not really hitting the high notes that Destiny 2 fans were expecting, the community is hoping this newest season can kick-start the franchise once more leading into the anticipated arrival of Lightfall early in 2023.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
