Season 14 of Destiny 2 is already in full force, bringing about significant improvements and a slew of original content. However, as the conclusion of this season approaches, many players are curious about what will arrive in Season 15, with one tease in particular hinting at what type of new gear is to be expected.
The leak comes from popular and renowned dataminer Ginsor, with a tweet that simply states "Thermobaric Greaves." Although this is a rather broad divulgence, it is highly possible the leak is regarding exotic armor of sorts such as the Peregrine Greaves, given that they both share the word “Greaves.”
Expanding upon the prior term of the leak, it is said that “thermobaric” are bombs and weapons designed to yield larger explosive ranges, but the second cause of damage from them is consuming all the oxygen in the area leading to suffocation. With that explanation in mind, this description is synonymous with top tier Solar Titans abilities; Titans being the armored juggernauts of Destiny 2 able to stamp their authority on any situation with pure brute force.
Plus, exotics are known to transform the class into a melee machine; slamming into the ground every couple of seconds to clear out waves of attackers. Punching, shoulder charging, and throwing hammers at targets are just some of the melee abilities a Titan has. Those that love closing the gap and leaving behind a trail of destruction find great success as a Titan. Furthermore, considering Ginsor specifically decided to tease this peculiar item with relation to Titans, perhaps players can look forward to a focus on the tank class next season. However, like with any rumor, gamers should approach these leaks with skepticism.
Yet what makes this really intriguing is that while seasons have typically lasted three months, The Witch Queen won't arrive until 2022, implying that either fans are destined for a very long season in the meantime, or they'll receive an additional one ahead of time. With that said, many assume that the Season of the Splicer should be near its end during late August, and many are expecting Season 15 to come out on August 24 or August 25.
Overall, Destiny 2 players have high expectations for what is to come in the following season, with the current being highly praised for bringing with it the new Armor Synthesis system, new Seasonal Story content, and the return of the Vault of Glass.
