Now that Destiny 2 players are getting the hang of the Scourge of the Past raid, it’s time to learn all about the challenges that players can take on for each encounter. One challenge for the Insurrection Prime boss fight, called To Each Their Own, is one of the easier raid challenges Bungie has designed but it requires a little coordination.
To complete this Destiny 2 raid challenge, each member of the team needs to break one of the Insurrection Prime's shield weak points. No player can shoot more than one and no player cannot shoot one. For those that might not have shot the weak points before, the giant mech has one on each of its knees, one on each of its shoulder blades, and one on each of its sides (right shoulder and left armpit).
Assigning each player a weak point is key and avoid using any weapon with splash damage just in case. At power level 650, one shot from the Whisper of the Worm sniper rifle will take out a weak spot.
Ideally, the team can set up with a view point of the weak spot they intend to hit, trigger the fight, take out the weak spot, and then run the encounter as usual. However, if the team is not strong enough to beat the Insurrection Prime in one damage phase, they will need to regroup and take out their weak point again.
Much like the Oryx challenge from Destiny, many teams may already be doing this strategy – and some teams may find it easier to do it this way rather than rely on the individual players to get all of the weak points. For some groups, this “challenge” may be the new normal as they take down Insurrection Prime in the hopes of obtaining the Anarchy exotic grenade launcher.
Overall, despite a rather simple challenge, Scourge of the Past is arguably another solid raid experience for Destiny 2 with some fun twists on existing mechanics. Hopefully when a new raid launches with Season of the Shadow it will be just as great as, if not better than, Scourge of the Past.
Destiny 2: Black Armory is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
