When Bungie announced its next expansion for Destiny 2 would focus on the Hive god of trickery, Savathun, and that players would get to travel into her twisted Throne World, many had high expectations. The Witch Queen expansion has certainly delivered a gorgeous, mysterious, and rich new area, filled with secrets.

There are many activities and things for players to do in Savathun's Throne World aside from public events, patrols ordered by Immaru, and even the Vow of the Disciple raid and its Preservation quest. Those looking to complete some Triumphs and uncover every secret and detail in Savathun's Throne World in Destiny 2 need not look any further than these following hidden details players may have not noticed just yet.

5 On The Executioner's Trail

Destiny 2 Scorn Corpse Deepsight Node

Among the various and numerous Deepsight nodes that players can interact with in the Throne World, once a day, once per reset, players can interact with a special puzzle Deepsight node that has them track down what happened to the remains of a corpse (usually a Scorn one).

This node can be located once per daily reset in one of the three Throne World zone: Florescent Canal, Miasma, or Quagmire. It will usually take place at the same location as well, and lead the player to one of three spots in the Throne World to fight one of Savathun's Executioner.

Facing the Executioners in all three locations of the Throne World and looting a bunch of their chests will unlock some Triumphs, as well as reward the player with Qualichor needed for the Memory Alembic quest with Fynch, so it's worth checking these Deepsight puzzles on a daily basis.

4 Darkness Rifts

Destiny 2 Darkness Rift In Savathuns Throne World

Scattered in random locations all around Savathun's Throne World, these little darkness rifts look like minor tears in reality. When players initially shoot them, they will send out an "Immune" message, which is a hint that they can take damage but require a very specific weapon or buff to do so.

To shoot one of these rifts, players must have unlocked and completed the Of Worms and Queens Exotic quest and received the Parasite grenade launcher. Use the grenade launcher to apply the Worm By-Product buff and while that buff is activate, players can use any weapon to shoot the rift to make it disappear and essentially collect it.

There are 10 of these darkness rifts around the Throne World in total, and some of them are quite difficult to reach or spot. Destiny 2 content creator Esoterickk has compiled all the rifts into one handy guide video that players can check for specific locations they might still be missing.

3 Collectible Lucent Moths

Destiny 2 Lucent Moth Cave

Next to Fynch, a strange cave can be found in the Quagmire area of the Throne World. Each week, two reports have appeared in the cave, each describing the existence of a unique Lucent Moth spotted in various locations around the Throne World. Players will only receive one hint, which is the general location of the Lucent Moth, by walking close to the reports inside the cave.

As of this article being published, there are a few more moths missing from the list, as Bungie has decided to time-gate this Triumph. The Lucent Moths are fairly straightforward to find and will sometimes lead to a group of enemies and sometimes simply be sitting at a location.

Note that one of the Lucent Moths is found inside the Wellspring activity, more specifically the defense version of Wellspring. Once more, Esoterickk has come to the rescue of Destiny 2 players by providing useful weekly guide videos where he shows the location for each Lucent Moth. After collecting it, players need to return to Fynch's cave to place it down.

2 Lucent Hive Inquisitor Mini-Event

Destiny 2 Lightbearer Hive

The Throne World features both Scorn and Hive enemies, but the most exciting type of enemy is without a doubt the Lightbearers. These are the so-called Hive Guardians, which come in three different variations: Warlocks, Titans, and Hunters. Sometimes, they spawn as high-value targets individually, but on occasion, there's a mini-quest that appears with a message stating "Lucent Hive Inquisitors in your sector".

When this happens, players should look around their current area (Florescent Canal, Miasma, or Quagmire), to find a group of white, glowing Hive enemies. Kill these enemies, and a stronger enemy will spawn. Once defeated, another group of glowing enemies will appear a bit further away, so track them down and repeat the cycle.

After a while, a message will warn the player of Lightbearers spawning in and to use extreme caution. This will spawn three Lightbearer Hive into the sector, and killing them will drop a chest containing Qualichor, which is needed for Fynch's Memory Alembic quest. This event happens randomly in any location of the Throne World, so players should keep an eye out for any messages on the lower left of their screen.

1 Special Deepsight Buff Nodes

Destiny 2 Deepsight Node

Deepsight nodes are what make exploring the Throne World fun and exciting, but players might be confused at times on what to do after activating some of these nodes. One node-type in particular, called the Memory node, may have some fans scratching their head.

These memory nodes usually spawn a location that glows green, and nothing seems to occur. In reality, these nodes provide the player with small buffs. Reddit user Alienengineering was able to decode the effects of some of these nodes by standing in them and noticing that each memory type is a unique buff.

Players can use these around the Throne World to quickly replenish their ability cooldowns, gain ammo or even charge their Supers, though the effects of these buff nodes are quite short. Still, whatever advantage the players can get against Savathun, her Lucent Hive and the Scorn infesting the Throne World is worth taking.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
