Fans of Destiny 2 have been absolutely enjoying the Beyond Light expansion. With new subclasses, features, and a brand new story to explore, it's no wonder it has been so well received. Alongside all the secrets and details players also have the opportunity to get new exotic weapons. One of these is Salvation's Grip, a grenade launcher with some unique capabilities.
Salvation's Grip - What It Does
"If revenge is a dish best served cold, then put on your Sunday finest." Mr. Freeze would have appreciated Salvation's Grip. Its Cryocannon creates Statis crystals that can freeze nearby opponents. Charging the weapon increases its freeze radius and the number of crystals that are released.
Salvation's Grip also allows players to break Entropic Shards in the game which is a part of a very important end game activity. Players will also find that the grande launcher makes Stasis-based missions much easier to complete.
How To Aquire Salvation's Grip
Players will need to complete the entire Beyond Light campaign before they will be able to get The Statis Prototype mission from The Drifter. From here, players will need to kill ten Fallen Captains and ten Servitors to collect weapon intel. They can be found anywhere on Europa and this part is easy to complete while doing other end game missions.
Once done, players will need to complete an Empire Hunt — this requires players to complete the questline Reclaiming Europa which can be claimed from Variks. Players then must equip their Statis sub-class and use those abilities to defeat enemies. This is by far the easiest part of the quest.
Finally, players must rendezvous with Spider's associate in the Concealed Void. Players complete the Concealed Void Lost Sector as usual and grab the boss cache chest. Players then return to The Drifter and get the Statis Containment Drive. After that, they'll get the Stealing Statis mission where they will be able to collect Salvation's Grip along the way.
Players are recommended to have a power level of 1060 so they won't end up being stomped while trying to complete this final step. Once completed players can feel like Sub Zero if he had a grenade launcher (how terrifying).
