Early Tuesday morning Destiny 2 went down for maintenance so that developer Bungie could push live an update that would make it easier for players to increase their power in Season 6. But at the same time, the game may have accidentally given players a look at some future content coming with an upcoming event.

While Destiny 2 players were supposed to log out during the maintenance, those that were able to stay online noticed a few strange things going on with their inventories. One player earned the Thorn ornament even though they had not yet unlocked Thorn, while another received an item called a Jubilant Engram.

This Jubilant Engram is believed to be the Eververse reward for the upcoming Destiny 2 Revelry Event. Bungie has not detailed the event yet, but most expect it will be Destiny 2’s Spring content drop and will feature a mode similar to the Haunted Forest from Festival of the Lost.

The Destiny 2 player was also able to inspect the Jubilant Engram and reveal the cosmetics that are likely included with the Revelry Event. Many of the items have a spring theme, or feature ornate designs, but there are not too many to collect. Check out the Revelry Event cosmetic leak video below:

There are some clever Destiny 2 cosmetics available in the Jubilant Engram, but whether or not they will be worth the grind is yet to be determined. The ladybug ghost shell is certain to be a highlight and the sparrow designs are unique, however the overall loot pool isn’t as substantial as a full season.

It’s also worth mentioning that while this is believed to be the Eververse engram for the Destiny 2 Revelry Event, it’s possible this is for Season 7: Season of Opulence. It’s unlikely that is the case, but there is always that possibility.

However, if the items are already in Destiny 2 then they are likely to be activated soon. According to Bungie's release schedule for Season of the Drifter, the Destiny 2 Revelry Event starts on April 16th.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
