From April 16 to May 7, Destiny 2 players will be able to partake in the game's recently announced spring live event, The Revelry. The event itself will introduce the Verdant Forest activity, giving players the chance to earn new armor, an exotic weapon, and other cosmetic items. Along with that, there will also be a new item called Reveler's Tonic, which will reduce players' ability cooldown rates.

During The Revelry event, Reveler's Tonic will be available at Eva Levante, the game's special live event vendor. Consuming a Reveler's Tonic will temporarily grant players faster cooldowns for their grenade, melee, and class abilities. It does not appear that Reveler's Tonic will affect super cooldowns in any way, but more will be revealed when The Revelry goes live next week, including what in-game currency will be used to purchase Reveler's Tonic and how long its effects will last.

There's no mention of a Triumph or anything tied to using Reveler's Tonic, like there is for using the Iron Burden debuff during Iron Banner. So it will strictly function as a temporary buff while playing activities, such as the event's Verdant Forest, which looks to be a new twist on the Haunted Forest from the last Festival of the Lost.

In addition to Reveler's Tonic, Eva Levante will also be the source of a new exotic kinetic linear fusion rifle known as Arbalest. Players will earn that exotic by completing bounties specific to The Revelry, which will award a special event currency that is necessary to purchase the exotic.

The Revelry is the last checkpoint of Season 6 on the Season of the Drifter roadmap, with Arc Week ending right as The Revelry comes into the game on April 16. Unless Bungie has more unannounced plans for this season of Destiny 2, it looks like players will have to wait until Season 7's start sometime in June for new content once The Revelry ends on May 7.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
