Destiny 2 is renowned for its great Raids and Dungeons, which often feature plenty of secret mechanics or encounters, which is something Bungie has always been very good at putting in its games. A great example is the now vaulted Leviathan Raid, which had lots of puzzles that went deep into Emperor Calus' ship for players to get more loot and exciting rewards. The 30th Anniversary Pack introduced the fourth Dungeon in Destiny 2 in the form of Grasp of Avarice, which can be farmed with no limits and provides many powerful items.

Just a little over a week ago, a YouTuber and content creator called Cheese Forever shared a video demonstrating how Destiny 2 players could skip a Grasp of Avarice encounter for free loot. This technique immediately became very popular because it sped up what is considered the most annoying encounter in the Dungeon, which is when players have to destroy the Fallen Shield before engaging with the final boss. This also worked in Master mode, which was a fantastic way to get loads of Artifice Armor pieces in the process.

As of the recent hotfix from a couple of days ago, Bungie ended up patching this Destiny 2 dungeon exploit by preventing players to go out of bounds by glitching outside the Servitor encounter area. According to the patch notes, additional geometry was placed in the area to make it impossible for players to glitch into the wall and on the rocks, leading to a cube that could be hit with the Hunters' Silence and Squall Super to damage the Fallen Shield without actually engaging with the Dungeon's mechanics.

While it may be sad for those who didn't get to experience the glitch and get their free loot, Bungie is known for fixing game-breaking issues rather quickly, be it by disabling items and then reissuing them or by acting promptly in other ways. This is not the first Destiny 2 glitch to last for only a few days, and it's not impossible that The Witch Queen expansion will bring more farming methods similar to this one.

While the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon may have lost its cheese farm, it still offers one of the most feasible challenges for new players and those who are looking to get into this type of content, and that's because its mechanics are easier compared to dungeons like Prophecy. As such, it's worth noting that a Destiny 2 player defeated Grasp of Avarice's Phry'Zhia solo on their phone, which was also achieved with mobile data.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
