Change is coming to Destiny 2 as players prepare for the arrival of the final known season of the annual pass as well as the controversial upcoming update. While the debate continues to rage on over the potential nerfs coming to popular exotic gear and weapons like Whisper of the Worm, Bungie is looking for additional feedback from the community regarding other aspects of the game.

On Reddit, a discussion broke out on the topic of the bridge encounter during Tier 3 Reckoning. The user known as Chekoby brought up the fact that this encounter is nearly impossible to do without a constant Hunter tether spam as well as the Warlock's Well of Radiance or Titan's Ward of Dawn. Many feel that this difficult Destiny 2 encounter is going to be even more challenging once the nerf patch goes live and reduces the effectiveness of a number of exotics like the Orpheus Rigs which help players bypass this section of Reckoning.

Chekoby goes on to ask that Bungie attempts this section in a Ride-Along stream once the patch goes live without dying or using supers to prove its still possible. While that probably won't happen, the post did catch the attention of one of the game's community managers, dmg04. His response asks for a few more details, including whether the opinion is in regards only to Tier 3 or if it applies to lower tiers as well. Dmg04 also confirmed that the concerns regarding the Blackout modifier and the lower odds for decent gear will be passed along to the development team for post-patch tuning.

destiny 2 exotic nerfs upset community

With Season of Opulence and the controversial sandbox update set for June 4, the community has been the Destiny community has been pretty vocal against the planned changes. Many feel as though Bungie should instead be buffing other exotics to make them more viable rather than reducing the effectiveness and fun from the more popular options. It's also been noted that Whisper of the Worm is now following the exact same path as the Black Spindle, the exotic sniper rifle from the previous game that it is based on, in terms of nerfs and functionality.

With a few weeks left before the patch arrives and the continued backlash against the planned changes, it'll be interesting to see if Bungie softens its stance or if the company sticks to its guns and goes forward with the mass nerfs.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
