In its most recent This Week At Bungie post, the video game developer decided to announce its plans to finally show off what Destiny 2 players can expect from Year 2 during a livestream on Twitch, which ought to include details about the science fiction shooter's large September DLC. While fans wait for the reveal, many have been revisiting existing content in the game, and one band of intrepid Guardians decided to take on the Leviathan raid boss Calus to defeat the Cabal baddie using only shotguns.

As seen in the video below from the Twitter user known as "Baxlyy", the player teamed up with a Fireteam to absolutely wail on the Destiny 2 villain with the use of various shotguns, ultimately blasting him into total submission. According to Baxlyy, the trick to pulling this off was having Lunafaction Boots equipped, as the Empowering Rift gave them enough range to do damage with the use of shotguns, and it worked like a charm.

While Baxlyy and the crew's defeat of Destiny 2's Leviathan raid boss by only using shotguns is definitely remarkable, it's important to note that the Guardian has also pulled off similarly impressive feats while taking on the exiled Cabal Emperor. As it so happens, Baxlyy and a six-person Fireteam formed their squad several months ago and went after the villain with a ferocious tenacity, which resulted in the group beating Calus in under four minutes.

All things considered, it's great to see Baxlyy and other Destiny 2 fans in the science fiction shooter's community continually setting up such self-imposed limitations for themselves and then succeeding with aplomb. Without a doubt, we will continue to see these kinds of challenges take place once the game's next round of DLC comes out later this year.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
