In an effort to please its player base, Bungie continues to overhaul Destiny 2 by bringing back features from its predecessor and tweaking mechanics to feel more rewarding. With Tess Everis getting pushed into the background more and more for seasonal events like Crimson Days, Bungie is also delivering new content like Nightfall scoring, text chat for PC players, and much more. And although the game isn't seeing as many glitches and problems as it did a few months ago, there's apparently a nasty exploit making the rounds for PC players.

News of the glitch comes courtesy of DICTATUSNORDIC on Reddit, who not only describes the problem in detail but also has captured footage of it being used during Destiny 2 gameplay. According to the poster, certain users created a macro that allows them to spam the crouch button much faster than what a normal player could achieve by playing normally. With the macro active, players can not only move faster while continually spamming the crouch button, but also they can remain completely invisible on the radar.

For PvP players, this glitch can give them a huge advantage, both because of the fast movement and the ability to sneak up on players undetected. Radar usage is essential in The Crucible, and opportunities to mess with that can hurt the experience across the board. Maybe not enough to force the cancellation of Trials of the Nine for the week, but enough to sour the fun for some people.

Naturally, this isn't going to sit well with Bungie as well as its Code of Conduct and license agreements. Bungie makes it clear that there is no opportunity to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans, a point which the studio had to clearly define late last year thanks to a messy situation involving the accidental banning of large amounts of PC players. While Bungie never revealed why its system erroneously labeled certain players as cheaters, the studio did confirm that it wasn't due to third party streaming programs like Xsplit as many fans believed.

This exploit comes days after another player-reported bug was spotted, essentially giving Hunters unlimited ammo for hand cannons. Thankfully, the glitch is fairly specific and requires a lot of setup, so most players likely won't encounter it accidentally or in PvP. This latest glitch, however, is much easier to duplicate and will likely have a larger impact on the Crucible.
