Although the upcoming Warmind DLC for Destiny 2 is all about adding new content to the existing framework, the add-on will also make a ton of tiny quality of life changes to the game. One of those changes, as shown by a recent preview session for content creators, will help clear some of the clutter out of Destiny 2’s quest system.

As revealed by Twitch streamer Gigz, who attended the recent Destiny Community Summit, the Warmind DLC will include a change that moves weapon quests to a section in the menu called ‘Pursuits.’ The clip below shows the On the Comms weapon quest (which unlocks the Legend of Acrius exotic shotgun) dropping into this new section.

Previously, when a weapon quest would drop it would occupy a slot in the player’s inventory, thereby limiting the number of weapons they could take into battle. Moreover, this limited the number of weapons that could be held, since Vault space is finite in Destiny 2.

This might not seem like a big change for Destiny 2, and in most cases it’s not. But what it does show is that Bungie is continually listening to feedback from players and making changes where appropriate. Something this seemingly insignificant could have gone unaddressed, but Bungie chose to make the change.

Considering a change was made, there is some hope that the Pursuits section will have more to offer players beyond the existing weapon quests. With the Warmind DLC releasing early next month, players could have more opportunities to collect unique weapons and rewards, and these could manifest in the form of Pursuits.

What we do know is that many of the main weapons for Warmind will drop from the Extraction Protocol Public Event that appears on the Hellas Basin. This horde mode, of sorts, will see players defending a specific point on the map and defeating enemies along the way. There will be a rotating calendar of bosses to defeat as well, who each have a chance of dropping a unique piece of gear.

Of course, the Pursuits section is only one piece of what should be a very substantial update included with the Warmind DLC on May 8th. Look for more details on the contents of said update in the coming weeks.
