Destiny 2 is a game where a series of different activities coexist, thus allowing players to choose whether to focus on a single aspect of the game, like PVE or PVP, or mix them to try and get more varied loot. While PVE content is best approached with a cooperative mindset from all players involved, PVP brings competitiveness to the table, making the experience potentially very different on some occasions. To an extent, Destiny 2's Trials of Osiris always was a place where this side was exacerbated to a fault, with top players sometimes using cheats.

The desire to win a match or a round can be so great that sportsmanship and the act of enjoying the game become side aspects of the experience. This is not something exclusive to Destiny 2, of course, but rather something that tends to happen whenever a game revolves around competitive matches. In this specific case, however, what's most upsetting to some is the act of "tea-bagging," which consists of taunting defeated players while they wait to be resurrected.

This week, two very different Reddit posts were shared on the platform by two players, each highlighting how fun and rewarding the PVP experience can be in Destiny 2. The first one was shared by a Reddit user by the name of MASHARY_AUTO, and it showcases a wholesome interaction between them and an enemy player. The opposing Titan had placed a Barricade to protect themselves from enemy fire, but they were using emotes behind it. MASHARY_AUTO joined the enemy player's multiplayer emote, and after a while, the two went their separate ways.

The second post is from a user called Iranggjingun, who shared a short clip of them collecting a Heavy ammo brick during an Iron Banner match. The player immediately turned around and shot a Deathbringer shot, missing an enemy player coming their way, who eliminated Iranggjingun and proceeded to tea-bag them in spite. However, the Deathbringer missile had split into smaller seeking projectiles in the meantime, defeating the enemy player while waiting to be resurrected, immediately getting revenge for the taunt.

These posts show two very different sides of the same coin, and yet, their success means that Destiny 2 players can be happy to see both types of content when it comes to PVP. The events behind the posts might also depend on the fact that Trials of Osiris was not active last weekend, where something like two opposing players emoting together can happen but is a much rarer occurrence.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
