The Destiny 2 beta is going on now, and while it’s primary function is to test the game’s servers prior to launch of the full game this fall, it also provides players a chance to give feedback on what they feel is and isn’t working.

Many of those complaints have been leveled at Destiny 2‘s PvE, which players are experiencing through the game’s first story mission and the strike that are included in the beta.

Bungie says that it has already addressed many of these complaints, and previewed some of those specific changes the developer’s weekly blog update. One of those issues, the scarcity of Power ammo in PvE, had already been addressed by the game’s director earlier this week, but in addition to the overall increase in drop rate of Power ammo in PvE, Bungie says there’s been an additional fix put in place as well:

“We built a system that guarantees power ammo drops for you and your Fireteam from certain enemies, giving power weapons a more reliable and predictable role in your arsenal.”

While Bungie has increased the availability of all ammo types, especially Power ammo, in PvE, the developer also revealed other fixes that have already been made to the game:

  • Grenades are more effective in PvE
  • Boss health has been examined and adjusted
  • Weapon damage against PvE enemies has been tuned

This is all good news for fans, as these seem to remedy complaints currently being leveled at the game based on the beta. Bungie explained that the beta represents an earlier build of Destiny 2, which had to be segmented off from the main game and is indicative of where Destiny 2 was months ago.

As expected, work has continued on the game, allowing the development team to tweak many of the issues fans are concerned about after going hands-on with the beta. While these fixes won’t make their way to the test environment, players can rest assured that they will be present in the finished game

The Destiny 2 beta continues runs until July 23rd.

Destiny 2 will launch September 6 on PS4 and Xbox One, with a later October 24 release on PC.
