Destiny 2 is renowned for being one of the best looter shooters on the market, with plenty of new content coming through Seasons and annual expansions, like Beyond Light and next year's The Witch Queen. Thanks to its compelling and ever-evolving gameplay, Destiny 2 makes for a great title to play, and that's also thanks to its original and interesting space magic, sci-fi setting. Destiny 2's lore is very rich, with plenty of enticing stories and great characters that bring the narrative to life through dedicated missions, cutscenes, and dialogue.

Because Destiny 2 expands on the story of the first installment in Bungie's series, many characters are fully fleshed-out thanks to over seven years of the developer building them up. Great examples include the beloved Cayde-6, whose story arc ended over three years ago with the launch of Forsaken. Another fan-favorite character is now Crow who started his journey as Uldren Sov, Awoken prince and brother to Mara Sov, only to be killed and then resurrected by his Ghost, thus losing his memories and becoming a new person entirely.

Among Destiny 2's many characters, one of the most popular ones since his resurrection in Season of Dawn has always been the legendary Titan called Saint-14. Saint-14 has a very unique character arc that's tied to the players and paradoxes, which made his return as a major character one to remember, also thanks to his relationship with Osiris. Recently, a Reddit user by the name of TheDankestMeatball started a poll series with daily eliminations to allow the community to vote for their least favorite characters in Destiny 2 out of a small selection.

After two weeks, the poll series concluded, and Saint-14 emerged victorious as Destiny 2's most beloved character, defeating another fan-favorite in the form of Lord Shaxx in the very final round of the elimination. Many players expected Cayde-6 to win, and the Hunter did get close to winning, but he ended up in third place out of sixteen characters. Surprisingly, Savathun scored seventh place despite her being one of the most notorious villains in Destiny 2 - even though things may change with The Witch Queen.

According to Bungie, someone is going to die in the expansion, albeit the identity of the character has not been disclosed yet. Saint-14 is an unlikely candidate for this, but Destiny 2 fans shared an interesting theory about character deaths being tied to voice actors, which could play a role in the events of The Witch Queen.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
