A group of crafty Destiny 2 players have managed to delete popular raid boss Kalli the Corrupted in just a few seconds by using a combination of two forgotten exotics. One member of this group has subsequently taken online to share this impressive achievement, having done so shortly after Bungie shared a surprise teaser for Destiny 2's Final Shape expansion at this week's PlayStation Showcase. The recently launched Season of the Deep introduced plenty of new Destiny 2 activities, but that's not stopping the fandom from regularly engaging with older content. One such evergreen activity is farming Kalli the Corrupted, the first boss from the Last Wish raid originally launched in September 2018 as part of the Forsaken expansion.RELATED: Destiny 2 Players Upset at Lack of Ritual Armor Set Refresh for Season 21The Kalli farming strategies have evolved over the years, but none have yet proved as effective as a combination of Izanagi's Burden and Celestial Nighthawk, two forgotten exotics that allowed one group of players to dispose of the raid boss near-instantaneously. While Kalli the Corrupted is certainly among the weakest Destiny 2 bosses, this achievement still gained quite a bit of traction on Twitter earlier this week, with many fans expressing their astonishment at just how much damage the players were able to push through in such a short window.

The core loadout behind this raiding feat is positively ancient. Izanagi's Burden launched as part of the Black Armory update back in 2018, while Celestial Nighthawk dates all the way back to the second-ever Destiny expansion, House of Wolves, released in mid-2015. Since late 2020, Izanagi's Burden became available at the Monument to Lost Lights vendor located in the game's hub area, which placed it well within most players' reach.

And though this exotic sniper rifle is a sensible selection for many bosses, let alone pushovers like Kalli the Corrupted, combining it with Celestial Nighthawk is what truly ended up elevating the newly shared raiding strategy. For context, said exotic Hunter helmet turns the Gunslinger's Golden Gun into a single-shot cannon, which provided the players with enough firepower to finish off Kalli the Corrupted within seconds. Their achievement is yet another example of how not having the best Destiny 2 raiding exotics doesn't prevent players from steamrolling some bosses.

Fans who lack Izanagi's Burden, Celestial Nighthawk, or both shouldn't be discouraged from tackling Kalli the Corrupted, either. After all, this Destiny 2 raid boss has been soloable since launch, as previously confirmed by one seriously dedicated player.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
