It's not uncommon for the Destiny 2 community to engage in posts or trends for the sake of memes and a good laugh, and this Season has brought many of those with lots of Telesto glitches. The infamous Exotic gun has always been a troublemaker in disguise, and when it broke the game several times during Season of the Lost, the community took it upon itself to dish out its best creations, especially for the game's Festival of the Lost. Another example comes from Season of the Splicer when a picture of Atheon wearing pants had everyone joking about the reprised Vault of Glass' final boss.

These sorts of moments are part of what makes Destiny 2 such an iconic game, where sharing one's story can make for deep and wholesome reactions - or great times to poke fun at anything in Bungie's looter shooter. Often, posts like these pop up on social media or platforms like Reddit, and it can take a bunch of likes or upvotes for them to go viral.

Such is the case of a Reddit post made by a user called HAL9000andFriends, who asked fellow players to share their eating habits, but with the caveat of Destiny 2 weapon names being the only replies allowed. The post gained a lot of traction within hours, and got almost 2,000 replies overall, with plenty of great answers on the community's part. A fellow Redditor replied to the post with "Riskrunner," an Exotic SMG in the game, but the answer was twisted into "chili and a marathon afterward" for the purpose of the thread.

Another user said "Bottom Dollar," which is a rare Gambit drop and hand cannon in Destiny 2, to which other users pointed out that it might refer to fast food chains and how cheap they are. A great answer came in the form of "Gnawing Hunger," but one of the most upvoted was "Rat King," which presumably is a reference to the 1965 film King Rat, a very appropriate choice given the topic at hand.

Bungie is often in on Destiny 2 memes, with content creators and streamers often doing the same with their videos or art. For example, a Destiny 2 streamer called Leopard trolled the chat live while being part of the Bungie Bounties community event, making viewers believe a Crucible game was about to start when in reality it was a pre-recorded video.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
