Guardians hoping to reach 400 Power Level in Destiny 2 before the expansion will not be able to achieve this without earning gear from Prestige Raid Lairs or participating in the upcoming Solstice of Heroes event.

According to the Bungie community manager, dmg04, Destiny 2 players will have to do more than the usual grind to reach a Power Level of 400. They will need to "earn and equip Prestige Raid Lair weapons" or obtain the Solstice of Heroes armor set during the upcoming event. He also noted that players will not be able to infuse their prizes into existing gear.

Those wanting to reach 400, who are willing to take up this challenge, will have to form a solid Fireteam and dive into one of the new Prestige Raid Lairs that were recently added as part of the 1.2.3 update. Prestige Eater of Worlds went live just earlier today, while the Spire of Stars Prestige Raid Lair is scheduled to begin July 18 at 10:00 AM PDT.

Additionally, three new catalysts were added to each Prestige Raid, which include the Legend of Acrius, Telesto, and Sleeper Simulant catalysts. The Skyburner's Oath catalyst has also been tweaked to drop more frequently in the Leviathan raid.

If Prestige Raids aren't one's thing, then participating in the upcoming Solstice of Heroes event is the next best way to reach the maximum Power Level. Beginning Tuesday, July 31, players can obtain special event armor that can be upgraded by completing objectives. The final reward for finishing all of the tasks is a set of Resplendent armor at Power 400.

In other Destiny news, it was recently discovered that Nathan Fillion will not be returning to voice Cayde-6 in Forsaken. Fans were quick to notice something was different about the character's voice in the expansion's trailer, but nothing was certain until Fillion himself confirmed the change while promoting his new Uncharted short film.

Since the character is meeting his demise in the expansion, he will not have as strong as presence in this chapter of the series, so it is possible Bungie did not want to fully invest in the actor's voice for a few lines of dialogue. Instead, Nolan North will be breathing life into Cayde-6 during the character's last moments in Destiny.

Destiny 2: Forsaken releases September 4, 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
