Maintaining high DPS during boss battles is absolutely one of the most important aspects of high-level activities and raids in Destiny 2, meaning finding the best way to dish out damage is a constant struggle for players. Sometimes this comes to choosing the best Exotics for boss DPS in Destiny, or in a recent case, the best perks that allow the player to combine the game's mechanics together to rinse bosses quickly.

This latest DPS trick comes from YouTuber Arlo, who shows off a newfound ability in Destiny 2 to fire a grenade launcher at extremely high speeds thanks to a combination of perks and character abilities. Even more exciting about this new trick is the way that it is usable with Legendary weapons, meaning that players can pick and choose their favorite exotics for secondary purposes outside of damage phases, like the Ruinous Effigy exotic trace rifle.

The trick involves using a grenade launcher with the Pulse Monitor perk, which instantly reloads the weapon if the player is critically injured, even when it is stowed away. However, since grenade launchers can hurt their owners if the weapon goes off too close to the player, that means that if a player like Arlo shoots at the ground for their last shot, it will automatically reload after taking the damage. Of course, this now leaves any player who doesn't have 'god mode' like defense in Destiny 2 at critical health and unable to reuse the trick to reload infinitely, unless there is a Warlock on the team.

By combining the Pulse Monitor perk that Arlo has on the Berenger's Memory, which the player has equipped for the demonstration, with the Warlock Well of Radiance super ability, players can heal faster than their own grenade launcher kills them. As a result, the player can use a well placed Well of Radiance to instantly kill Destiny 2's toughest bosses alongside a properly perked grenade launcher. Players who have begun to take notice of this trick are already comparing it to the capabilities of the Lunafaction Boots for Warlocks before they were nerfed, which allowed players to almost ignore reloads on powerful weapons altogether.

Exactly which Destiny 2 weapons this trick can be used for is still being investigated by the community, as they continue to comb through every piece of gear that the Pulse Monitor perk can appear on. However, it is likely that other weapons that deal too much damage the player, like rocket launchers, or single-shot grenade launchers like Flash and Thunder won't be quite as effective due to either killing the player, or never giving the reload opportunity. So, going from the video, Berenger's Memory might be a good choice to start with for any players that just want to test this new trick out for themselves without too much extra effort.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
